Just drove a 125i auto convertible yesterday, and it felt incredibly slow for what it was. Taking the auto box out of the equation, it just didn’t pull hard at all. I used to have an e46 330ci convertible that supposedly only has an extra 10bhp over this 125i, and the 330ci was considerably faster, it would have thrashed the 125i. I don’t believe they make 218bhp myself.
Hi, is it the 6 speed or the 8 speed gearbox? From my experience the 8 speed is better, but the 6 speed is also very good. At least it's faster than the Mercedes 7 g-Tronic.

Never actually tried but how come when u search specs for my 125i 2009 it shows 6.4 seconds 0-100km would of thought a tune like this would of taken it to the 5s ?

Paul Taylor Yes, the software has been modified and the valve opening does now the same stroke as in 130i, 330i, 530i, etc. Additionally the sofware has been sharpened, so it's a 130i+ (no turbo).

Steven Nelson Hi, yes of course :) I went to ms-tuning.de near Stuttgart, Germany. The tuner gave the valves the same opening like in a normal 330i engine and sharpened the software. That's why it can be called a 130i+ ;)
😂😂😂 no, you haven't. Unless it was a 135i, it won't get anywhere near that. My 130i was running around 280bhp, and the best 0-62 time I had was 5.8. I'm on the babyBMW forum, and nobody has been any quicker than 5.5 with an N52 1 series.
@@filkry8832 It's just physically impossible. There's 3 gearshifts and a perfect launch involved. The 130i doesn't have enough power to do sub-5 second 0-100 times anyway, even when modified (unless we're talking about forced induction).
@@filkry8832 Physically impossible. For reference I had an Audi S1 mapped to 310hp, 360ft/lbs and it had quattro and the fastest draggy time I got was 4.6. Fastest stage 1 S1 I saw in a forum was 4.4ish. That car was 4wd, 200kg lighter, more power, more torque and it was JUST cracking mid to high 4s. Absolutely no chance a sub 300hp, RWD, 1500kg car is coming close to 4.6s unless it's got forced induction, wider rear wheels, sticky tyres and the right conditions.

@@Luminary2024 Hi, you can expect around 275 hp and 320 nm. It's a known tuning in BMW forums and I recommend to look for an address there to find something in your area.
@@Luminary2024 No risk or danger at all, because all the engine internals are like those of 130i/330i. Only difference is the DISA with only 2 modes instead of 3.
@@jackturner990 Unfortunately no. You would at maximum just gain 10 HP and that's not worth it. For more power, I recommend to go for a 330i or even better, a 335i. The 335i can later on raised easily to 450 HP via the app MHD.

For anyone trying this, desactivate traction control (hold the DCT button for 5sec). Dont do like the guy in the vide with DCT on.

0-to-60-mph acceleration happening in 5.8 seconds and the quarter-mile in 14.5 at 96 mph. 2008 128i stock
The 125 I is supposed to be 6.2 standard and with a stage 1 remap it's supposed to take it to 5.6 ish???
5.8 should be possible, but I didn't have best launch due to worn tires.
And you shift pretty smooth
Cabrio is a bit slower
After driving one of these, trust me, you won’t get 6.2 standard. More like 7.2. They’re considerably slower than my old e46 330ci.

Dominik Schmidt Messung wurde nicht gemacht. Im 1er Forum habe einige Fahrer danach zw. 260-280 PS gemessen. TÜV Eintragung ist bei MS möglich.

yo, how much liters do your car uses/100km
I almost only drove city or hard and it consumed around 11liters/100km. Daily driving in mix was around 8-9l.

I would recommend to go with the 130i software. It really gives life to the 125i/128i.
