The Kelly is the most versatile cook system out there I made a stove that runs on every liquid fuel works well with the Kelly my favorite fuel for heating water is #2 diesel the most BTU for your buck boils water the fastest then sometimes I use masterbuilt firestarters then sometimes I use a one gallon pale of chaffing gel and of course regular wood coal or other stuff I give the kelly two thumbs up i camp 24 7 365 in Alaska i use every day
Cool kit, I like it. I have one of those table, haven’t used it yet, good watch it in action. Enjoyed watching the Kelly Trangia burner combo, something I’ll have to try.
Thanks for a great video. I too am a fan of the Trangia and the Kelly Kettle combination. I received the KK for Christmas and the Trangia seemed a good option when snow in the forest was knee deep. It worked exactly as hoped even in the worst conditions!! Looking forward to more videos highlighting them together. By the way, your organizational skills make me weep with envy! Nice work!
Looks like a great day out! I like those little towel that you rehydrate with water. I'm going to have to get some of those for myself. I'm still on the fence as to whether I need a kelly kettle or not. I certainly want one, I'm just not sure if I NEED it😁 Thanks for the great video😀
Thanks for watching. They are a great bit of kit but not everyone’s cup of tea. They are a bit bulky, but if you get past that it is one of the best bits ok kit I own. I’m actually holding a competition on my Instagram to win one, head over and you could be in with a chance 👍
@@MSIOutdoors You're welcome😁 I'm in Canada so I don't qualify for the competition. That's ok, I'll still watch your videos😀 That's nice of you to give one away to some lucky person. I hope you have a good weekend (coming up on us here).
I enjoyed that, being organized helps. Did you see on the Kelly Kettle web site about partially covering the chimney for a faster boil? Uses less fuel as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. Yes I have seen that a while back but completely forgotten about it, thanks for reminding me 😊. Be sure to head over to my instagram account to be in with a chance of winning a KK.
I've been using the Trangia and other alcohol stoves for cooking when camping. Including the Evernew Titanium or the Siphon Alcohol Stove Steampunk EDDY-X from Goshawk stoves. Could not figure out what they would not work in a Kelly kettle as an additional heat source. I've used them in a wide assortment of other wood burning stove as a quick heat source. I just purchased the Kelley Scout kettle and probably will get the Trekker later on as a single stove for my use. I use Denatured Alcohol in them for a clean burn.
Interesting, it pulls the flame from the spirit burner straight up the chimney, using it in the kk does it burn through the alcohol faster than if it was being used normally? Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching. It did use a bit more alcohol than usual, but not loads more. But the KK was full (600ml), so could be worth trying it out against the actual trangia kit with same amount of water.
Great video, it was interesting to see the Trangia working well with the Kelly Kettle, definitely a good idea for those times you don’t want a fire. Atb, Brian.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes I’ve never seen it on YT, so thought I’d give it a bash, and I use the combo all the time now. I’ve found that if you raise the burner up a bit it works a bit better. Thanks for watching 😊.
I hate the sound of my voice, so I don’t want to inflict it on anyone else 🤪. But I’ll look into a decent microphone and test it out. Thanks for watching 👍
Yeah, videos with talking are much, much better. You'd get more 'hits' on UA-cam (you may not be interested in this!), but I seriously think people watch the Tube for companionship. Sad, but true! You could do speaking to the clips after filming. Or get a voice over artist. (I'm available, but bloody expensive. Ho-ho!)
*_Hello... it looks like you are going solo hiking while testing the new Trangia stove with a Kelly kettle, in my country the white spirit material is white but I see the one you are using is purple, is that a kind of white spirit too... Nice to meet you, Rudy Tutorial outdoor from Indonesia_* 👣🏕💯👌👍👏🤝🙏

Thank you very much for the great comment 😊. I’m not usually this tidy 😜. Yes I agree perfect combo. Thanks for watching
Great vid mate, those Kelly kettles look fantastic. Didn't realize you could use them with an alcohol stove! 👍
Thanks for watching. No I didn’t, just decided to have a go, could do with the burner lifting up slightly. Got a plan for next time.
Great video mate 👍
I wondered if the trangia stove worked with the kelly kettle i guess you answered the question .
Thank you for watching. Yes worked great, good for the morning brew so you don’t have to worry about getting a fire going 😊

Thanks for the demo. Which size Kelly kettle is that? I’m looking at the trekker and stove set.
This is the Trekker.

Enjoyed the video, the Kelly Kettle goes with me everywhere. Would love to hear some audìo. Be nice to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for watching. Yes I will be slowly inflicting my voice on people soon 🙈
Where can i get one of those storage bags you use to store the Kelly Kettle?

thanks for watching. its methylated spirt, and it is dyed purple to be identified as a spirt and make sure people don't drink it.
