Kinda dumb in one way only.... the rubber doesn't need to be round. It doesn't matter the shape. It's just there to keep the bobber or weight ( usually for Texas rigging) from sliding beyond a certain point and to keep the weight from banging on the line knot. Still a good idea to save a few bucks. But with the laith etc... a bit more work than the dollar you MAY save
Why not leaving them on the needle to slip them onto the mainline directly from there? If you grab the needle with pliers , it will surely work. Stopper knots of twine are far superior, if it comes to be able to slide through the rod guides when casting, anyway. Therefore I only use these rubber stoppers as spacers below my float to avoid tangling with the leader.
Too much time, too many tools and too many puncture risks for a thing that is soo cheap !... Last night, I ordered a lot of 100 packs (6 pcs/pack) of those stoppers for less than $3.00 !!!

I want my time back!
What is the rubber that’s being used. I thought a cycle inner tube but looks too thick for an inner tube.
Thank You🙏
