Hello! i'm an electrical engineer student and these videos going crazy! been here for a long time and i just want to say that i admire what you are doing and i support you 100%! hope to see more furbies stuff lmao
5:39 That is the most mad scientist power cable I have ever seen in the real world.
I did consider updating the connectors to a modern 20 way but decided that once I started to tweak one thing I'd be likely to get carried away and start fiddling with other things ...
So I donated it, in all its original glory, to you ☺
I'm not sure if I was aware that EMS had used the "Synthi" name when I named this 🤔
Man, you folks got it all goin on in there! I have NEVER stopped a single one of your uploads from the museum, or your OG channel, because of content repetitiveness, boredom, or bull sh!+!
This gets awesommer and awesommer! ^__^ You got some real vintage beauties in your museum. I hope I'll be able to visit it some day.
What sample pack do you want to see next?
A sample pack sample pack!
How many sample packs do we need to buy so you have enough money to turn the heat on? The last few videos everyone is in jackets and you can see your breath, INSIDE THE MUSEUM!! You froze out poor Hainbach - now he's a Haincicle!
@@gorak9000haha sadly I don't think any amount would increase it! The less money spent on heat and heating devices. The more on other things haha. Another way to look at it is the most sustainable way to heat a building is to just wear jackets. It's not usually freezing it was just exceptionally cold that day as it was 0 degrees outside, that's the only time no heaters are tough. it is usually a healthy 10 degrees and above in the building.
I rang the exchange yesterday and was on hold apparently.
aaah yeah. not got that wired back in yet. the whole exchange rewire is taking quite the while. sorry!
Pretty sure that power connector is a RS one it's the same as the multi connector that the Bovey Tracey Players had connecting the lighting dimmer board to it's control box all had built circa 1980!
Nice cheers! Is it literally called the Rs connector? I'm just trying to find spares
Yes, the connectors came from RS (or Radiospares as they were called back then) but finding info on 50 year old components is a bit tricky as all the original documentation was destroyed by a water leak many years ago 🤥
Ah! The Fusion Octotron strikes back!
Sam take a photo of the pin board while it's working! The you have something to fall back on.
Indeed! Just after a many many time of resetting it can be time consuming for whoever needs to do it. On top of all of the other things to keep on top of here :D
omg I would like to visit you one day and enjoy all those delicious knobs 🤠🤠
Sounds like you are replaying soundtrack from mid to late 1960s sci-fi movies.
So much SiFi
"It goes up to 45!"
And Spinal Tap goes into cardiac arrest...
It was really cool to see Mr “T” in your shop ( ye olde telemark k! ) I’ll send you a track made with it if that is cool . Hands across the water! ✌️👽🐕
yes awesome!!! thanks ever so much on that! video will be coming soon btw :D
@@THISMUSEUMISNOTOBSOLETE trying to find an email to send you a we transfer. I tried to email the museum one but it says invalid
More of that Johnny guy he’s cool!
hahaha did he pay you to say that?
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER haha I hear it’s gonna be Johnny January at the museum… a video every day! 🙌
I love how all of the team allows us to have access to all this knowledge ans ressources, even for people who can't get there.
The best and worst part of pulling all ur stuff put to rearrange is the finding all the cools stuff you forgot you had stored.
A real Forbidden Planet vibe.
Great work Sam and team! ❤
The Jones connectors are also called Cinch or Cinch-jones, i have some 12 way cinch connectors
are they cinch/jjones? as they have diagonal pins which confused me, wonder if they are completely different?
aaah just checked, yeah cinch too oooh funky cheers for the info
@@THISMUSEUMISNOTOBSOLETE If you do an image search for "12 pin cinch connectors", mine look like the brown ones (mine are green), diagonal pins
There are also ones with mainly straight pins with a few that are at right angles for polarisation.
@@THISMUSEUMISNOTOBSOLETE Looks very much like the "J-Type Connectors", don't you think? ...
