Maybe not as many hours, as they have other duties, but I can't remember any dean in my or my siblings' schools where the dean didn't teach. So students usually know the dean perfectly well.

I used to study in one of these boarding schools. My experience there was phenomenal. The entire school was like a big family. The "Dean" there acts just like the dorm parents. They take good care of us, not only academically, but also in many other aspects. I am grateful to be able to have this kind of experience.

My sister went to boarding school and loved it!! She went at 12. She's the least messed up of all of us. Our parents were sick people and she was in a place where she was loved and safe. Big love to all the good boarding schools, you save the lives of some kids! ❤❤
I always wanted to go. I was also in a bad family situation. I read stories about boarding schools and thought it would be wonderful to escape for a decent amount of time.
Meanwhile the head of the boarding house at my school was caught going through the girls underwear draws multiple times, was extremely racist and once threatened to kick down the bathroom stall I was in because I had been in there for more than 5 minutes :D Amongst many other things. My brother went to an all boys boarding school and a bunch of boys in a different year attached fireworks to cats.
This is what I love about those kinds of schools. It doesn’t feel like a prison, it feels like you’re part of a group. Turns out that giving kids a voice generally makes everyone behave better
It doesn't hurt that their classes have less than 40 students and the teachers are paid a livable wage. I made more bartending in college than a friend of mine who has been teaching for 3 years. That's obscene.

I used to study in one of these boarding schools. My experience there was phenomenal. The entire school was like a big family. The "Dean" there acts just like the dorm parents. They take good care of us, not only academically, but also in many other aspects. I am grateful to be able to have this kind of experience.
i used to be in boarding school as well, but when i'm going to college and live alone, i find it hard to adjust to the new lifestyle, i feel lonely because i can't see my friend 24/7 anymore

My sister went to boarding school and loved it!! She went at 12.
She's the least messed up of all of us. Our parents were sick people and she was in a place where she was loved and safe.

I always wanted to go. I was also in a bad family situation. I read stories about boarding schools and thought it would be wonderful to escape for a decent amount of time.
They can make or break you, it's a 50/50 really.
Meanwhile the head of the boarding house at my school was caught going through the girls underwear draws multiple times, was extremely racist and once threatened to kick down the bathroom stall I was in because I had been in there for more than 5 minutes :D Amongst many other things.
My brother went to an all boys boarding school and a bunch of boys in a different year attached fireworks to cats.

This is what I love about those kinds of schools. It doesn’t feel like a prison, it feels like you’re part of a group. Turns out that giving kids a voice generally makes everyone behave better
