The Royal Ballet - Gala Performances - a Brinkmann Oasis Living Stereo recording

The vinyl recording is digitised using the following equipment:
Turntable: Brinkmann Oasis with Brinkmann 10.5 and RöNt III power supply
Cartridge: Hana ML
via XLR Cable to
Amplifier: Technics SU-R1000
with an RCA connection to a Tascam DA-3000 master recorder and recorded in DSD - 5.6Mhz quality.
Scratches were carefully removed with the software "Vinylstudio". The music file was then saved as aiff 24bit /192kHz file. This file was then imported into iMovie for movie creation.
The film is edited with iMovie, resulting in an 4K ProRes video file with LPCM Audio 24Bit/48Khz. The video is compressed with Shutter Encoder and the audio signal is embedded with LPCM 24Bit/48Khz.

Bravo! An excellent reproduction in sound quality and noise removal. This is the best digitization version so far heard on UA-cam. (The last rejuvenated version released in 2020 is not as "clean" and vivid as this one.) Salute!

I have a really good vinyl front end. And this record also. I tried to record with Tascam cdr750, but it comes nowhere close to the quality you got here! Did you do it dsd?
Hello WeevBeev, in the description of the video I explain the recording process. The LP is recorded in DSD quality. But that alone is not decisive.
I make sure that the recording is properly levelled up to the limit to get a full dynamic range. The Technics SU-R1000 is perfectly matched to the Hana system and almost all components are connected via XLR. This helps to reduce interference. I think that alone makes a big difference. Oh yes, I almost forgot... the RöNt III power supply on the Oasis also makes a big difference !!!!
The Tascam CD recorder is now more than 20 years old and perhaps other recording devices have become better in terms of sound. If possible, try recording with an Olympus LS-P5. I myself have made recordings with the LS-14 and was very satisfied with it.
I am thinking about getting it at 45 rpm but wanted to hear the entire collection prior to pulling the trigger. Thank you.
In my personal opinion, the 45rpm version is not worth it. It even has the disadvantage that you have to get up again after a short time to turn the disc over...
