It’s actually uplifting that’s the funny thing. Like ok you failed that class. You’re in your 5th break up. You got fired from your job. No one cares. Failure sucks because we think people care about us enough to be disappointed. Like we have an audience. You tell someone you failed a test it’s like yeah.. ok? I didn’t expect you to be a genius. You thought I would be shocked? No. You’re normal. Average people fail classes sometimes. I know someone in your life told you you were special as a child. Exceptional. They put you in gifted classes. You’re not special lol. You’re just some guy that fails more often than he succeeds. There’s something liberating about that.
I think it applies most to physical appearance kinda things. It's a relief to realize no one really cares how you look
This is exactly what I have always been telling myself if I ever catch myself dwelling on something embarrassing I did.

And then funnily enough it's a lot easier to "look good" when you're not preoccupied with "not looking bad".

That idea that nobody cares about you has saved me a lot of grief over the years. The fact that I am, at worst, an inconvenient NPC in someone else's story arc means that I can go about my day and be basically invisible about 90% of the time.

There is a percentage of the population who very genuinely cares for other people including strangers. Environment can beat it out of people so cities you will see less of it. When I got really sick recently and needed help I discovered something really interesting. The people who I thought cared about me didn't, and some of the people I thought didn't care actually did.
They don't "care" about you because they don't know you. Like how TF you expect some rando's to give half a s%^t about you if at least they don't know your voice?

The beauty standards for women are insane, we have been learning our whole lives that our beauty is our most important asset if we want any manner of success in our romantic relationships, at our jobs, or socially. Couple that with the fact that in any given situation there’s always someone letting us know what they like/don’t like about our appearance. Women simply aren’t discussed without, at minimum, some clarification on whether or not she’s beautiful, it’s the first and last thing anyone will ever say about us. It’s a tiny little cage that we have all been brainwashed into keeping ourselves in, for as long as we possibly can, because once you’re out of that cage you simply no longer exist. #BUMMERFEMINISM 💅🏻🫠

@@JacyndaMinor It's mostly other women who push the need for makeup, unique outfits, etc. Most men don't care about your appearance unless you look obese, malnourished, or otherwise ill. It's true that we'll notice when you put effort into your appearance, but we won't notice when you don't.

Throughout the video, she joked multiple times about being Mexican (such as being called tío, Spanish for uncle). The "I am Chinese" joke in the end is supposed to clarify that she is Chinese, which is funny because it's insanely obvious.

@@TheForkOnTheLeftist I sure wasn't a saint, but we're talking about a man who shared everything that went through his mind without a filter - that includes the detailed description of the arousal he felt when flirting or sexting with other girls as well as the excitment of developing a crush on someone else amongst other things. Whenever that happened, he used to be surprised when it made me cry. He said he thought I was "cool enough" to be open about stuff like that and I really tried to be. We were a couple for seven years.
As for the part where he didn't like to go out with me, that could've very well be on me. But I like to think that he was simply a little lazy and bored with our relationship. That's what I tell myself in order to not be too sad about it.
When we broke up, he claimed that he felt really bad for the things he said and wants to actively learn to be more empathic. So those are his words.

@@dhl567it's a parody of late night talk show hosts going for example, "it's been Jimmy, love you guys, good night!" but since shes probably an up and coming comedian, she just used the most memorable feature of herself, which is being a chinese woman instead of using Leslie which is a really common white woman name. also it's probably a throwback to the mexican joke at the start lol.
