Yes lust is very common in anime but it is usually depicted as disgusting and perverted. Art often resembles life and that’s exactly what they’re doing. Half the time the person is beaten for being perverted and the other half are scolded. You look through a lens that lacks context or understanding. Matter of fact I think you should look at your ideas of pride within yourself. You talk about the shows short comings but you hold your beliefs over context and the understanding of other cultures.
