@slothkingn1 that's only half right. At the beginning of each monarch's reign, they sign over the profits from their lands to the government, and the government adds that to their budget. Taxes are also added to this pool of funds. Then, money is reassigned from the government's budget to the maintenance of the Royal Family and their estates. Reminds me of a couple of years ago on Reddit. There was a thread about Kim Jong Un calling Trump a "dotard". Took me about five minutes to scroll to the bottom of the comments section. It was just a wall of "WELL, HE'S NOT WRONG..." I lost count in the 70's and it kept going. Like, at least 70+ people thought they were the very first person to think of that... hilarious(?) comment.
Especially when there's virtually no repercussion for what they say, yet they act like they're being brave. It causes second hand embarrassment for me.
I dare not ever look into the comments on Twitter. My brain can’t take it. But I do love how shoe perfectly puts their text into the voice I imagine all twitter users have when they’re “owning” people. Did I say that right? Do the kids still say “owning”?
So when I see a video like this my first question is "what message is this video sending? What opinions will be reinforced or challenged?" Shoe should tread this water carefully. This isnt 2016. We're past strawmanning feminists by looking at sketchy Twitter posts. Let's evolve the debate.
This is how neoliberalism co-opts actual grassroots leftist movements with good intentions and appropriates them for the acquiescence of power. It reinforces the hierarchy and incentivizes more divisiveness. Actual feminists are anarchists and don't believe in hierarchy at all, let alone female supremacy, unlike fourth-wave liberal feminists (aka feminazis).
People who focus on peoples race gender etc above all else are kinda dumb, here in the UK we have had two female prime ministers and they have both been terrible. I'm not saying that a female prime minister can't be good, gender is just not an important factor to consider in a prime minister, you should vote based on policies and what they stand for.
You ever heard of the movie "The Madness of King George"? True story: it was originally a play called The Madness of George III. When it was sold for the movies, the studio execs retitled it because the thought people would see the title and wonder "when were the first two in the series?"
Same. You can always count on the weebdom to make animemes out of anything and everything. And the damn quality is so high too... Like somebody spent hours and hours on drawing dictator-chan with bread in her mouth.
I really remember reading how feminism started. One of the first books wanted to "replace" the ideology of seeing women and men as opposites, somehow like a Clash. This book was published in France around the XVI century. They wanted to abolish that view and *start* looking over options like... equality.
This is prefeminism, tho. The very first glances about the moral ideology of gender. When they weren´t trying to survive other aspects of life like poverty, job and freaking goverment.
The Umbridge example was actually pretty good. Everyone hates Umbridge and it would be a nightmare if she were in charge. I think that comment was actually on the anti dictator side
The most stupid part is that these feminist act like there had never been a female head of state. Completly ignoring the 22 women that are head of state right now. But i guess the US never had a female head of state and the US is all that's important so germany, Bangladesh, Norway, Namibia, Nepal, Myanmar, Taiwan, Estonia, Serbia, Singapore, New Zealand, Iceland, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Ethopia, Georgie, Slovakia, Denmark, Belgium, Bolivia, Finland and Greece don't count.
It always hits me, as the current state of "progressivism" in US - when it will happen (woman leader), it's gonna be huge, festivals, parades and "we lead the free world", "first as usual", "Next step for the human kind", while literally half of the world will be - "Wat?". Half of Europe get women in charge on daily basics, and nobody even notices.
@@thegoldenduck3765 How did you get that idea? Mitsotakis is merely the party head of the nea dimokratia party. Sakellaropoulou is the president of the country.
I’m from a Southeastern European country where we don’t only have a female prime minister, but a lesbian female prime minister. It should be paradise according to these liberals? No. Our country has been turning to sh*t the past few years, it’s becoming less democratic as we speak. There have been massive protests the past few days against her, the president and the other people in their party because we don’t wanna see our country deteriorate any further, but I don’t even know if it can go more south than this. Being under dictatorship isn’t fun even if there are women in charge. The only measure for somebody to be in charge should be merit, country’s governments shouldn’t be viewed in the same way as some random company that should fill it’s diversity quotas.
@slothkingn1 Most democratic countries have both, you just don't hear much about one or the other depending on the government type, e.g. president of Germany or prime minister of France.
@slothkingn1 Actually, as Jadeed pointed out, there are plenty of countries, even well known ones, who have both. It is just that only one of those offices holds actual power, depending on the system. France has a presidential system, so you hardly ever hear about the French Prime Minister since he does not matter. Germany has a parliamentary system with the Chancellor as the equivalent of a Prime Minister, so you hardly ever hear about the German President (who holds mostly ceremonial powers). Russia, presidential system, so again, Prime Minister of Russia is hardly ever mentioned (except when Putin took over that office so he could still be in position of power until he was done with changing the constitution to allow himself yet another presidential term later). My country (Croatia, right next to Serbia, and yes, the original post was about Serbia) has parliamentary system, so the Prime Minister is the one in charge, while the President holds mostly ceremonial powers.
Here's the interesting part of the internet being global: People not from your country are going to look at your internal politics as nothing but fun facts. Your openly gay PM is very cool to Reddit because they don't have to actually give a shit about her policies. She might be a dictator to you, but to the rest of the world she's a "step in the right direction for the LGBT" despite her not being elected, her using her position to protect her millionaire brother, her being an underling to a fascist president. History will remember her for being openly gay and a prime minister which is exactly what your president banks on. It's amazing how useful these idiots are.
These people are just extremely distant from reality. A scary Korean dictator woman is the type of character we would all love in a movie, except this is real world with real people suffering from dictatorship.

Feminists:

Doublethink
I really remember reading how feminism started. One of the first books wanted to "replace" the ideology of seeing women and men as opposites, somehow like a Clash. This book was published in France around the XVI century. They wanted to abolish that view and *start* looking over options like... equality.
This is prefeminism, tho. The very first glances about the moral ideology of gender. When they weren´t trying to survive other aspects of life like poverty, job and freaking goverment.
Big thinks
And the women killing men part. Remember, they hate men
The Umbridge example was actually pretty good.

Diversity quotas are stupid anyway. Fighting emergent gender disbalance with instituted sexism is the most backwards way to go about it.
@slothkingn1 Serbia I think, Ana Brnabic

I read the book Nothing to Envy: Everyday lives in North Korea. The vast majority of women there are starving, scrounging for ways to make money and live in fear of the police. There’s no feminism because everyone is treated like a slave. Unless you get really good test scores and get to go to Pyongyang
“Elect” I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
naw man the "democratic" "republic" of North Korea definately holds elections with competing parties every 4 years.
The Kims are just literally gods thats why they keep getting elected.

ONI Section Zero actually there is an election every 4/5 years but the Kims are actually the only party that is allowed to candidate to the election. And every citizen is forced to vote for them, so yeah not democratic but there IS an election.
i love how these ppl automatically assume this woman will be a competent leader just because she's a woman.
They don't and it doesn't matter. Having a woman in power is all that matters.
Whatever goes wrong you simply blame on men.
I don't think they even care about her being competent or not. They just go "any woman > any man"
@Tetrimas From my personal experience, I have preferred having female bosses than male bosses. In general, I think women are better at managing people, while men are better at managing projects. This is all averages, obviously.
It's ridiculous. Sex doesn't make someone automatically better or worse, that's the whole point of egalitarianism that should be a focus of some feminists.

"North korea is about to 'elect' a female leader before the US"
what bro talkin about "elect" there is no choice 💀
Also, these feminists need to get a grip. There have been female elected leaders of countries before (ie. Thatcher, Merkle). And there have been plenty of non elected also(Queens). Get over it we lost this race long ago.
They need to rewrite history to their liking.
I mean to be fair I think they're arguing that it's sad that a backwards country like NK is winning that race.
...not to say that it isn't hilarious that they can't seem to understand the reasoning as to why that is.
History of the world outside of USA doesn't exist. World only begun 200 years ago
@@Zakatak-mf4iq There've been quite a few elected female leaders in non-Western countries (Philipines, Argentina, Liberia etc.) in the past 2 decades, so their sadness about the 'progressiveness' of "backwards" countires is far too late.

You clearly don't know North Korea on the DPRK they in fact hold elections granted there's only one person on the ballet and no one else has tried or at least the north Korean government has never told us if anyone has ever tried to run but technically elections no matter how unfair.

And then talk about how great she is despite their constantly threatening to Nuke each others countries. And agree to some favors in exchange for them agreeing to terms that they agreed to 30 years ago but can't be trusted to follow, and then act like he stopped World War 3 despite him trying to get into a dick measuring contest is what got people worried about it to begin with, and the previous president would have done the same thing if the party praising Trump now had consistent opinions on how to deal with North Korea.
How the hell do they even know she is a "strong" leader? Y'all didn't know who she was a few days ago.
Not knowing her a few days ago isn't even the worst thing as one can learn quite a lot of things about a person even within the span of a few days. Worst i'd say is them making shit up. I mean, nothing is known about the woman to begin with.
