Blast to the past, christmas eve 1999 when I got Red and a Gameboy Color as gifts and could not stop playing leaning over the kitchen counter. Such a clear memory, what a wonderful and easy time of my life! This melody really personifies that feeling of carelessness and cheerful childhood. I could listen to this short but amazingly catchy tune for hours. The original is still my fav for nostalgia, followed closely by the remakes, then Let's go, then Crystal and last Silver and Gold. It holds a special place in my heart because I have family that lives in Vermilion, Ohio USA. Thanks for this video and the fond memories is gives me.

@@JagVentures Yeah Vermilion is a beautiful little city that borders the Great Lake Erie in Ohio. Just like the game, it's a port city off of the lake. I bet one of the Pokemon devs was from there or happened to travel there. Either way, it's cool to see it in the game. Thanks friend, I hope you stay safe and well too. Because those games take place 3 years after Red & Blue. The city's a different atmosphere then, It's the same reason why the Lavender Town remix is happier, the ghosts are gone :)

I don't think there's a bad rendition of this theme in any of them, just different vibes be it traditionally energetic ala OG, FR/LG, and LetsGO or calm evening via Gen 2 and HGSS.
