I had the pleasure of flying to College Park Airport when I lived in Dover,DE in 2008. I would love to go up there and have a hand in taking care of that airport. I'm finishing up my aviation agree I would love to manage in airport like this.
Man, such a history. I operate nearby inside SFRA, and I hear FRZ is not much more difficult either. It’s a shame we just avoid it more than we have to. It is still a great place to visit.The museum is great. The metro station is right there. I plan to fly there soon, just to exercise my freedom and feel being part of the history. Long live KCGS!

Man, its so sad to see how bloated and disgusting our Federal system has become... When he retires that airport is going to die all together. There's no one of his caliber to take his place, people these days are so labile and lazy, what a sad day for aviation, our heritage as Americans and our story. The ADIZ has destroyed General Aviation in the region, they'll likely do the same to College Park that they did to Meigs Field... We traded so much of our freedoms for security and gained neither... Why do I say this? I fought as a US Marine in the Global War on Terror in Iraq and I am a private pilot... Semper Fidelis

CPA had great annual Air Shows until our Govt. attacked us on 9/11 and since then no more airshows have been allowed. Now thats a damn shame.
