    Unless I am mistaken, the airport there in College Park is the oldest continuously operating airport in the US. Flew in there once about 20 years ago before the ADIZ and all that headache and had a blast on the short field.

      You are correct sir, Collage Park is the oldest continuously operated airport in the US. It also has many other Aviation "first" such as
      first flight of the U.S. Postal Airmail Service
      first controlled helicopter flight
      first successful “blind flight” using only instruments to guide the plane
      first mile-high flight
      First test of bomb sight developed for use in an airplane
      First test of aerial machine gun
      It is the center of US aviation history IMHO...more so the Kitty Hawk

      @joke312 5 років тому +7

      Alejo Bernal ASAP stands for Aviation Safety Action Program. Basically whenever an airline pilot messes up by accidentally violating a regulation, and it’s an honest mistake and not willful negligence, because we’re also human, we file an ASAP report, or “ASAP it.” Things like an accidental altitude bust or course deviations are things you can ASAP. Flying an airplane drunk is obviously not something you can ASAP.
