    There's so many pluses compared to minuses with car, just enjoy your machine. There's no perfect car; CTS-V rocks!!!

      For sure, as I said, hard to find stuff I “hate” since I love the car. Felt like giving the info to potential buyers is worth the nitpicking though haha

    The most important thing is you left out it only comes with 4 doors. That's why I own a 2013 CTS-V 2 door😂😂😂

    If I own an $70,000 car I would assume I'd have the money to never have to jack the car up myself.

      So me people like working on their own cars or switching summer wheels and tires to winter wheels and tires themselves.

      @@petergohzinya8909 I take it you don't know much about cts v's? There Technically can't be a "new" 3rd gen since they stopped production in 2019 but yes when new they were more than $70,000. 2014's are still going for $40k to almost 60k with low mileage and 2019's are in the $80k range and sometimes more.

    With regard to your observations: on the CUE system yes the buttons occasionally take a second touch to accept command, sure. But overall it works just fine for me. And I agree the buttons on the steering wheel work well. My paint is overall pretty good (Shadow Grey) considering the car is a 2018. I've had correction, and PPF added to the front, and ceramic coated the rest. Transmission is just fine, no issues whatsoever, and I haven't noticed any strange shift points. Exhaust is again just fine with me, I'm not particularly interested in making a lot of noise, and attracting attention. I commonly leave the car in Tour mode. I agree on the lift/jack points criticism. Overall I love the car.

    I love my 18 V. I agree with your opinions. However, I highly recommend Stainless Works Catback exhaust. It’s way louder. Paint is horrible. Transmission not fixed, having to change oil between 20-25K miles or starts jerking between shifts or downshifting. Cue system is still a mess just had mine completely replaced, thankfully under warranty. Enjoyed your video

    • @thecadishack4408

      Thanks! And the jerking between shifts is truly the thing that bugs me the most for sure.

    I almost bought one, so close. I have two gen 2 cts-v and still own my second along with a 2020 ZL1. Def a Chevy fan. The cue system was my deal killer. It was absokutely the worst. The CT5V, totally in love, cant wait to get my hands one one.

    Yeah GM sucks at black paint. Owned two of them and just looking at them caused swirl scratches.

      I mean any black paint is hard to avoid swirls and scratches on, but GM is SOOOOO soft haha.

    You can adjust the exhaust, suspension and steering independently in the settings menu on my 18 V3. I keep the exhaust on track. It could be louder. The refreshed CUE is not bad at all. Jacking up the car does suck. I drive it on wood to get more clearance for my jack.

    I had a 3rd generation CTS. 2.0T and I have to replace the transmission all together in it at 100k miles. It was giving vibration while accelerating. It’s at Cadillac now and they are saying the the transmission is on back order 😒

    I have a witte diamond tricoat 2011 cts v. We named it pearl. I hate ar its fast, powerful, fun to drive, 4 doors so I can bring friends/family along, i hate that its reliable like all ls engines, i hate that the ac blows cold. Next time i will buy a rusted 1989 honda civic with 400k miles. Thanks for taking the time to read my positive optimistic review.

    Dont agree on the CUE. Got a slade and a ctsv and drive a good 50000 km a year. No problem. Its not the best but absolutely good enough.
    Also u can absolutely leave your exhaust in track or sport and drive it in tour. Setting in the CUE...

    • @thecadishack4408
      @thecadishack4408  3 роки тому

      Things got better in later years and also so did the option to do exhaust tubes. In the 2016, it wasn’t an option and CUE was/is horrible. You can live with it, but it’s just not as great as it is in later years. I use Apple CarPlay so I hardly ever really deal with it.

      Definitely love it man...it's an amazing car and one that I'm not even thinking about getting rid of anytime soon. Usually at this point of ownership I'm looking at the next thing. While a Porsche is the next want, the V will likely stay in the garage next to it.

    Yeah I recently test drove a V3 and put the exhaust into trackmode, noticed it sounded pretty near stock. thanks for pointing out the black soft paint, ill make sure to do a trans flush and 3 stage correction when / if i do get it

    If you want the exhaust louder take off the actuators in the rear of the exhaust. Then remove the metal piece from the actuator that engages the exhaust valve. Then reinstall the actuators. Your exhaust will now be open all the time.

    All that nit picking shouldn’t mean jack when you have a chance at owning such an exclusive and incredible car ....for the money where you going to get a jack of all trades with super car hp numbers/ performance and still have a comfortable daily driver for the family if needed.? Leave the nit picking to the haters and just enjoy the car , no car is perfect.

      @draconis437 3 роки тому +1

      I can't do that in my 2017, but I can decouple the exhaust note from the drive mode and hold it in any mode regardless of drive mode, not that it makes much difference to how loud it is, he's right, its too quiet.

    I got a 2018 a few years back for a great price and i will say my paint is spot on and the pro's out weigh the cons. Not to mention the power it puts down.
