For what it's worth, I'm running a 29 x 3" Maxxis Chronicle on the front and a 29 x 2.6" Kenda on the rear of my XL Supertramp and it gives a great ride.

Nice bike! I would get a side entry water bottle holder. Salsa makes the best one and it’s only 16 bucks.

Say mates. Anyone know if I can put a 2x or even a 3x crank on it?? I'm 66 years young and even though super fit, concerned about that 1x on longer climbs with weight?

With a smaller chainring, can definitely get the gearing as low as a common 3x!
