These are the 2 indicators that I use exclusively! Got both right when they respectively hit the markets initially. Great video as always guys

Thank you very very much for your blogs to the world championship in Spain. You presented how tough it was and how you handled the different venues, and how well you did and especially how much you learned and how much you taught us. I really respect your how well you handled each venue even when they were the most difficult time to fish the planters that were worn out when you got there. A bad draw and you did your best with the hands you were dealt. Looking forward to next year. Thanks very very much for your you tube and how much you teach me

Great video demo of both. One other thing I like about the NZ indicator is that it stands up tall when it’s tight to the nymph so I know I have good strike detection. With Oros and others this is harder to see given the spherical geometry. That said I use both depending on the conditions.

They are the 2 systems I use . The majority of the time if I’m using an indicator it is the wool, but in heavier water the Oro’s are excellent.

Good video! I like the looks of the Oros. Been a fan of the NZ wool indicator for a couple years.

An interesting feature of the Oros that I like is that you can mix colors to create a two-tone indicator. Take half a pink and screw it to an orange half, for example. Very high vis, and even better strike indication.

Real nice tutorial! I am currently using airlock indicators , and for the most part they do a good job ! Definitely will be trying the Oros because of the inline feature! I probably use indicators about 70 percent of the time , depending on water conditions and flows ! I do quite well for the most part , but you do loose a little more as opposed to tight lining!

That little wool dispenser is a nice addition. I just have the loose wool that came with mine.

I like the little strip on your wader for clipping gadgets. Who makes those waders?

There's a way to attach New Zealand Wool without the tool. Due South Outfitters has a short video on it.

I like the Oros, easy to use and work well. Then again I typically euro nymph and skip the bobber like a real man. 😂

Do you recommend floatant on the NZ indicator, or is that unnecessary? If you do recommend floatant, do any work better than others on the wool?

I have trouble with the NZ indicator slipping on 6x tippet. Any tips for making it work better on thin tippet?

It appears you are fishing both of these indicators on a standard leader and fly line set up. You can cast the Oros indies on a micro leader, albeit not very gracefully. How do you fish the NZ indicator if you are switching back and forth with tightline techniques and tackle? 2 rods? My experience with most yarn indicators is that they are far more wind resistant than any dry fly you might fish as a dry dropper with a micro leader or the slightly heavier leader Devon talks about in his recent dry-dropper video. Thoughts?

Both of those fish are bigger than anything I've ever caught. 😅
