Hey Warro, the red/chrome certainly looks the business without the pillion seat👌 It really has a great colour combination. Will you be adding the heel toe shifter at the same time as the seat spring kit? Gotta love the Classic 350 range of bikes🤙
@@brian07900 better idea is never buy a used one. i just had one drop power with 700 klm on the clock. rather than chase the dealer-i sold it for $3000 less than i bought it for just to get rid of it!.
as a rule i usually see the flies in town but not as much out in the bush. this year it appears more out there. once home none...lol 34C eh! thats a very hot temp for our area. that would almost be peak temp and only happens just a few days per summer period 3 or 4 days max and thats it. but go say 40 klm out of town and its a totally different ball game there. those areas can hit 40C and do and i stay well clear...lol
Hehe, yes, it varies a bit around the country. 34C here in summer would be a pleasant day. Last summer the temp readout on the car was showing an ambient 45C...! @@ridewithwarro
What also comes into play is that these air-cooled engines are are tuned in quite lean - add a catalyst and that is even less heat the bike can get rid off. Now the bike will be fine - it can handle it and I wouldn't do any mods while running in. With my Classic 500 I ha the same observations. After putting around 1500 miles on the bike I swapped out the airfilter for a DNA and got rid of the very heavy cat muffler, replacing it with a Hitchcock's pea shooter. On top of that I installed a FuelX lite that makes the bike run a bit richer. It doesn't turn your classic into a racing machine (if you do it with that intention, you bought the wrong bike to begun with!) So all in all it got my Classic 500 running a good bit cooler with running a bit smoother on the lower rpms. I would imagine the same for there 350's if you want to bring the low rpm torque up a little, but if you are happy with as it is - don't do the mods and pocket that money for a nice touring saddle 🙂
I agree with the heat thing, I've have a Himalayan and a interceptor both i bought brand new and the smell of the engine after a half hour ride and you pull up and give the bike a rest you can smell it, weather its some kind of protective coating they put on them for shipping i don't know, but yes there is a heat smell.
no-where near as bad smell wise on the halcyon grey or the heat build up side but its has done quite a bit of hard work...lol either way good bikes to ride for not a big $$$ outlay all the best!
G'day Warro, firstly why so many flys, Cow and sheep shit, Sorry l haven't committed on you other videos you put out earlier, have seen them when l was away on holidays with the wife and dog, my 650 RE is in classic chrome and Red same colour and my 1956 BSA is the same as well, both like your are a head turner, have fun on that wonderful machine, cheers mate, ride safe, Neil 🤠.
all good. as long as your out enjoying the countryside its a pretty good day. have any issues taking your dog along on the trip. i might do a run next year and wondering what to do with the sausage dog...lol
I like to wait 15min on side of road when running in to put a heat & cool down cycle through it after a 20-25km stint.I got 3blocks to ride round one is 18km another is 18km & the 3rd is 21km & got a couple other routes abit longer when kms get up. Beauty of living in Countryside.
yeah i will keep that in mind when i get the triumph and no doubt run-in will be much higher speed. wife and daughter going to NZ in about 10 days time. heading to Queenstown i think
@@ridewithwarro Yeah nice down there.Pity they weren't going there 8weeks back when ski fields open & lot's of snow around.Mind you South Island is having cold 🥶 snap over next 3days & snow but should be gone by 10days time.

G'day Warro, I thought I would check and blow out my air filter on my new classic after some gravel road miles, and noticed that the initial intake is down above the chaiguard near where dust stirred up by the wheels could be a problem. seems like a bad environment to run in our bikes. What do you reakon ?
on the east side i had no issues when i checked mine. in fact i just cleaned it and put it back in. didn't really see any real sign of dust even after a couple of hard bangs on a sheet of paper. bike had done i'd say a good 2,000 klm of dirt. but again that would depend too where one resides. its just dust in this area not the powdery type. clear quick when passed by a car and doesn't linger about.
That candy apple red on chrome requires sunglasses! Holy smokes...look at that shine. I read premium petrol reduces engine heat. I have no idea. I bet theirs a problem with gasoline theft from vehicles with petrol at over 10 dollars a gallon.
its a bit overpowering sitting on the bike with the red and chrome...lol not so side on looking it over. petrol is certainly taking over thats for sure. all the best!

@ridewithwarro I was about to go down to my dealer and place a deposit on the Triumph scrambler. Then I came across your bloody channel.
