      Will Mihailoff The Sled Shouldn't of took this Long to start Id probably take the carbs off and Give them a Good cleaning and Fix Your Choke Lever so it properly gives it the right amount of fuel when starting cold. My F3 Starts in 3-4 pulls. also Let the sled Run for 5-10 minutes before riding it like that.

    • @faintestlemon1

      We are planning to clean the carb. The choke lever is a tad loose so maybe that does need adjusted as well. And we usually are very careful with our sleds, like i said i have an old yamaha phazer II in perfect shape and starts right up every time i try it. This was a one time video.

    Good thing about my triple is that it won't move until it's warm I'm glad it's that way so it won't break anything and hurt the motor. And anyways for the triples if u don't let it sit and warm up the motor will get hot and the coolant is still really cold and will crack the motor

      i’ve got a vmax 700 and grew up on a venture 600, both redhead triples. Best part about them, they told you when they weren’t warm. Not with a light or sensor, but if you tried to move you could just tell. Always gotta play with the throttle a little while it’s warming up, if they go below 3,000 rpm after the cold start they won’t run right. My dads done it this way since he bought the venture new in 04’ they’re both rippers. venture has 4,200 miles and vmax had 12,000

    • @Gearbanger101
      @Gearbanger101 11 років тому

      I don't recall what you've got in the primary for ramps now, but my '00 Mach Z had 295's in it now. The '97 Mach Z had a fairly low engagement RPM. For shorter distances, you might like the 286 ramps. Combine that with a fresh green/blue primary spring, a set of adjustable pins with about 18.5g in them and a fresh secondary spring set at about 18-20lbs. You should come out of the hole then at about 4,200RPM. Make sure clutch bushing, rollers, slides, etc are in good working order. Can't stress that enough. 90% of your performance is found in the clutching. Who knows what the previous owner did, or didn't do to it?

    • @DarkMatterOffshore

      clutching for low end power doesn't make sense with this Z. It was designed for 8000-8500rpm (8600 w the right crank bearings/mod). It's made to spin like a rotax, not a lumpy 4 stroke with gobs of "low end. See that's the trick Andrew, a two stroke triple needs to "spin". Also, this is why triples are known for kicking the shite out of two lungers after 105mph because they get spinning and have long legs.

    What is the point of this video? That have a piece of shit that takes 25 pulls to get it to run and once it does instead of letting it warm up properly you rev the piss out of it, then take it for a rip across the field. No wonder it has low compression.
