My 1958 Morris JB Van, undergoing full restoration. A recent break in the Project has now ended, and to commemorate this I filmed a short clip of him...
I've always loved these vans since being a small child. They always seemed to have a 'face' and expression. Were they used in late fifties as personnel carriers? I am researching a book (fiction) and want to know whether these vehicles might have been used to transport gangs of 4 or 5 building workers from site to site. If not, what might have been used in those days? Is this van finished now?
Hi, my dad had a bakery/shop and ran one of these vans (amongst other vehicles) delivering orders to regular customers around town. That would have been in the early 1950's and as a 12 year old kid I used to help deliver morning bread rolls direct from the bake house (then was dropped of for school), loved that fresh bread smell. cheers.
I just love these vans :)
Spectacular restoration... thanks for sharing...
Excellent! Good work and nicely explained. Great little van.
Fantastic work! Keep it up for this lovely little van :)
Is that nick drake singing in the background?
