The current marking guideline stated that the correct answer is; PROSTATE GLAND: a gland found below the bladder, produces a nutrient-rich fluid that provides energy for the sperm cells
The prostate produces the alkaline fluid for the vagina AND helping with the energy for the spermcells to swim. And the seminal vesicle provides the nutrients for the sperm ( 7:48 ). I asked my teacher and googled multiple question about this. This is what stands in my textbook and what google says
Please please please Caitlyn this is WRONG. Please listen to me if you write that it will be marked wrong in finals. Prostate = nutrients. Seminal vesicles = pH. Cowpers gland = assist with movement. Your textbook is wrong because the CAPs doc is wrong this coming from the provincial curriculum advisor.
@@missanglerbut miss if we were given a question where they asked the function of the prostate gland, and we said it produces the alkaline fluid, we would get it correct because most memos give the answer as that
Mam I’m a bit confused is it not the prostrate gland that produces the alkaline that neutralises the acids produces by the vagina not the seminal vesicle
Some textbooks have this in them but its actually an error of repetition that continues even today. According to the diagnostic report from the government clearing this problem up the prostate's main function is to provide nutrients to the sperm.
ma'am i think you swapped the purpose for the prostate gland and seminal vesticle. the prostate is what secretes the alkaline liquid that neautralizes the ph and the seminal vesticle is what gives the nutrient rich liquid. please take note

Hi Ms Angler ,What's the difference between sperm and semen?
Sperm are the cells and semen is the fluid secretions and the sperm cells put together.
