Vultures albums were just a phase. I have a feeling his next music will genuinely have some nuisance and depth to it like Donda did. And honestly he’s faced even more life struggles since then(not to mention the things happening with celebrities and with the world right now). So he actually has more to talk about now than he ever has.
I have hope, especially seeing him demo preacher man at his concert recently. If you havnt heard that go listen to it, it's supposedly going to be on his next project and ye himself said that at the concert.

I am also very prone to addictions, not really stuff like "galaxy gas", but still. In addition, I always keep feeling the need to be edgy for no reason like Kanye was.
