Apartment 8 was truly the cutest and stole my heart immediately.
If you will take my advice as an elderly person, you will move right out of Central London to zones 4/5/6 & buy a flat rather than waste money on rent until you are old.. & you might even have a garden as well...
A mortgage is a colossal debt to undertake that leaves you completely vulnerable to economic fluctuations. The recent interest rate hikes show this, with people tied down to their mortgages (and houses they’ve ‘bought’) and suddenly forced to pay double or more. It’s not like if you buy you’re suddenly not ‘wasting’ money - much of it is just going to the bank instead of a landlord (and partially going towards the interest rather than paying off the house). Respectfully, it’s quite easy advice to give when it’s not your risk to be undertaking
@@user-wl9gw7xe2qStill doesn’t change the fact that it’s better than renting. You will most likely pay the same as renting but instead the money is going into an investment i.e. an asset. House prices in London will most likely stay sky high due to demand.
@@KungFuWizardOfJesus Not if you’re spending the majority just on interest, combined with bills which wouldn’t exist to you as a renter. using that additional money and putting it in, say, SNP500 would mean your money is improving without being tied to an illiquid asset which you also completely depend on for day to day survival. It doesn’t appeal to me personally añ
@@user-wl9gw7xe2q what do you mean you don’t pay bills? Have you never rented a house before lmao?
You have seen the London housing market in dozens of these videos. Demand is so high and house prices will only continue to skyrocket. Last time the housing market crashed was due to giving out loans to people who couldn’t afford it. The banking sector has reformed and guess what? House prices have recovered and exceeded 1995 prices for all areas of London.
Additional your point about investing into stocks and shares literally went against what you said previously. The stock market is highly volatile which you will depend ‘day on day’ with survival. Have you actually rented a house before or bought stocks?
You can say this because you’re an old person, but for most people zone 4/5/6 is very expensive to buy, it’s not the 90s anymore where houses are £50k and you buy them with cash, they’re £400k+ and you need to be able to afford the monthly mortgage payments
These are some fantastic apartments you found!
Offer #1 in Crouch End is my dream apt. I can't believe you let it slip away!
Great video. As expensive as they were. the prices were somewhat reasonable of you can afford it.
I think your voice should be louder than your background music because it is difficult to hear you when the music is louder than you.
Thank you for letting me know! I’ve lowered the music in my recent videos
We had a lamp like yours in the late 1960s. It had two light bulbs inside. Really nice 🙂
Apartment 2 looks so magical with the view outside and so many amenities...wow
Your doggy is so freaking cute omg
I subscribed!

adore apartment 2! Thank you for watching Maria xx
What is the cost of keeping a car in London?
I don't have a car but my friends said it's about £200 - £400 a month.
Was the rent prices the full price? I.e. it wasnt split between you and someone else, the full price of the flats were £1400-£1600 per month, etc ?
It’s full price :)
@@erika_lee that’s insaneeeee (in a good way). Wish those prices still existed for those size flats today 😭
I'm in love with apartment 8 ❤
Crouch end and Holloway Road are both north London
yes - we decided to look at North London for more affordable options
How did you find all of these? Did you use a website? They're good prices for the space :)
Hey Victoria, we used www.rightmove.co.uk/ and www.zoopla.co.uk/
Hey There ! how are u btw i was just asking what about apts in barmingham /Are they costs less? and i subscribed yor channel / thanks for this video :)
Hi! Thank you so much for all the touring! You mentioned that the rent price goes up during summer what period would you reckon would be a good renting period?
Thank you for watching Chloe. Tbh I think the rent price in London won’t decrease because it is London unfortunately.
A few friends of mine were looking for a new home but the rent price was still very expensive in winter.
There’s no a good renting period I think, just go to viewings and find a nice home with a good price😊 good luck xx
the apartments are great! and your dog is so cute, omg
Thank you so much ☺💞
Great vid :)
Thank you! 😊
Hey there, I'm moving to London soon so I am getting very nervous with the whole thing! So you made 3 offers, and 1 was accepted? How many viewings did you go to? Also, how long did it take you to start searching online, go to viewings, and finally got the offer? Thanks!
Hello love, I made 4 offers and 1 was accepted. I went 18 viewing in 3 weeks time. Don’t be too worried or discouraged about it, just make sure you act quick when you see the right home! I think the market has slowed down a little bit in autumn. Good luck xx
These are all so great!!! I can't find anything on rightmove for around 1500 per month...
thank you for watching! The market is still going insane right now because it is driven by a surge in demand and a lack of supply. Good luck on flat hunting and don't lose hope - you will find a good deal xx
Hi Erik,
What is the trick to find pet friendly properties in budget (up to 1500)? I am not able to find any on zoopla or rightmove.
Hi Vineet, I personally found it a little difficult, my advice would be to check with the landlord if they are happy to accept a pet at the early stage. I normally tell them what occupation I do and my annual salary etc, then follow up with this question about having a pet in the apartment. Good luck with apartment hunting xx
Tip music is too loud for your quiet voice
Thank you for letting me know! I’ve lowered the music in my recent videos :)
Great video ❤ the Hayes bathroom was really nice and big. Wembley Park was nice but I’ve heard it’s noisy due to the stadium.
Thank you for watching MC 🥰 such a relief for not picking the Wembley Park flat! 😂
@@erika_lee yeah lol I’m looking to move to London in next couple of months videos like yours are super useful!
Hello there, can international students apply for these apartments too without any problem? would love to get your response, i move in this fall
Some landlords don’t like students so you’ll have a hard time. You’ll get told no a lot.
If you offer all your rent upfront you should be fine otherwise you’ll need a UK guarantor, otherwise you’ll find it extremely difficult i’m affraid.
Agree with Emma : ) most of the landlords will accept international students if you can pay upfront. I paid 6 month rent when I was a student, so I would suggest you save more money and be ready for this Aryan x
Thank you❤ what do you think these buidlings would cost for sale?
Hi Rosie, I only looked at the rent while doing viewings so I'm not sure about how much they would cost for sale sorry xx
Hi Erika! Love the informative video! May I know which zone your apartment is in? :)
Is it difficult to find a place with pet? Do you have any tips for pet owners? Cos I am with 4 cats and I'm worried about it .. Anyway thanks for ur video!
hi! not erika but i do live in london with cats myself! I found it easier than i expected to find a place that accepted pets, however I do suggest you inquire about places that don't say they'll accept your pet right away anyway- landlords will, in my experience, be a little flexible as long as you're being reasonable. Last couple places I lived in, my landlord was ok with me adopting 2 kittens halfway through my tenancy although he said no pets when I moved in, then when I had to move I looked for a place with hardwood floors since most landlords will say no out of fear carpets etc will get damaged, and only mentioned the cats when I said I wanted to place an offer. Make sure to say they're well behaved and no longer wild kittens, that also helps! I was lucky enough my first offer got accepted and had no issues at all even though the flat was listed as no pets accepted on rightmove when I found it. I hope you'll find it just as easy :) Good luck!
Thank you for your question Tik. I personally found it a little difficult, my advice would be to check with the landlord if they are happy to accept a pet at the early stage. I normally tell them what occupation I do and my annual salary etc, then follow up with this question about having a pet in the apartment. Good luck with apartment hunting xx
Love your little story! You are very lucky Vanessa xx
So in UK theres a lot of people who have pets, so most of the time the LL does accept pets.
There will be a special clause placed in the contract where the property will have to be professionally cleaned (meaning you hire a professional cleaner) when you decide to leave the tenancy. If you are going through a Estate Agents, they should specify already in the marketing websites.
Thank you very informative video!
No problem- Thank you for watching Mimi 💗
The volume in your video is so low I strained to hear. I am clicking off before finishing because it makes it hard to follow with the low speaking.
Lovely, video, but please sort your sound out, we can barely hear you over the loud music and the static on the mike and it's very distracting.
Thank you for watching. I’ve lowered the music on my recent videos!
The majority of those were not West london. Also not sure what you mean about West london being very English 🤣 It the same levels as the rest of london and the South of England in terms of Englisness. However it may be richer than those places. Walthamstow pronunciation 😆
Happy house hunting
i would give few sujjestions please reduce background music volume and let it not have any drums something subtle will be awsome and second thing use animations seeing same screen same person bores bring animations storylines hope this will help youl.
Awesome
👍💥
Having come from sydney I realise one thing I can't possibly live in London for someone like me it's like claustaphobia hell unless your steeped in money like the royals.
Even if I had doe which when I was travelling I did not and most people don't.
Besides while things are changing white supremecy still reign supreme and people are way too snooty not enough lifestyle and expensive as as all hec.
Though one day I might want to try go on a holiday for white Christmas. I dreaming of a white Christmas. . . somewhere out in the outer suburb or little quaint little English cottage where I can stretch my leggs none of these cookie cutter boxy appartment complexes.
I really don't know how their council could approve such small living quarters.
It's a wonder there isn't Jack the Rippers of this world doesn't coming out of London (if he is real though I have my doubts) he must have gone stir crazy not enough space and air - just say, condense living is not healthy!
One good thing to note that London would be second to none is fashion retail clothes shopping for a woman was like eye candy just amazing clothes everywhere but no price tag and what's the saying in Harrods if you have to ask for the price you can't afford it not exactly what a gal wanted to hearing (not something the shop assistance said not that there were any around but a another tourist like me) on a holiday for a potential promotion wants to hear (that never happened) but still couple of nice Jimmy Choo shoes I really love to take if only had the bag space or shipping wouldn't have been an extortion back to Sydney. By the way Jimmy why is your Sydney range no where near as good a s the London's? Well such is life!
Great job no microphone and loud background music 🤦♂️
