Love the photos. A time when our people were prospering with their own businesses and had love for one another. Unfortunately came Integration.
This old black woman, 71, has been declaring, for yrs, that integration destroyed our community. When I was growing up had black docs, teachers, lawyers, nurses, hospitals, stores, dentists, etc. Many professionals lived in my neighborhood, sad to see where we are today. Dad was lawyer and mom was nurse

I have a question? We were supposed to be slaves only thirty years ago? In 1863 there was graduating class in Howard university? How? Answer were never slaves! We were and still are prisoners of war.
