Ladies please if you ever find yourself in a similar situation that Samantha found herself in God forbid, please do not let the bad guy take you from point A to point B. Because the people actually in such a situation as it's happening can't be trusted to make decisions and should fight people pointing guns at them because you said so. She didn't "let" him take her, she tried to escape almost immediately and he chased her down and tackled her and stuck a gun in her ribs and explained that he would kill her if she tried that again. She was kidnapped. Look it up. Imagining kidnapping could be eliminated from the world if only women fought more is insulting and stupid and sounds like someone has been playing too many video games lol

I've also trained in the use of various, blades, firearms, etc. So I'm telling you from real world experience you can fight and stay at point A regardless of what weapon they may have. I stated before you can't control when someone attacks you but you can always control how you react. Use situational awareness, use visualization meaning before you leave your home visualize the worst case scenarios happening to you and how you would deal with it, however sadly people have their heads in their phones or in the sky and aren't paying attention to their surroundings and many people have this foolish notion that oh "that will never happen to me" until it does and because they're not prepared for it they're overwhelmed by the situation.

They are talking overly nice to him because it's a police tactic to get information if they start talking harshly or aggressive he would have stopped talking. I haven't listened to how they talked to Kimberly though so if they were harsh towards her that isn't right. But this is a very common police tactic when dealing with a suspect that has already admitted to killing a victim to get more information.

It might be patreon but also the years in between and the size of his audience. From an ethical standpoint in general it's hard. I keep imaginening Samanthas father hearing that. I can't even comprehend how it must feel not only knowing what happend to his child in her last hours but also that lots and lots of unknown people hear that as well and probably only remember Samantha for the last hours and the gruesome stuff Keyes did to her. So he didn't just rob her of her life but also of her legacy somewhat. Same goes for the Curriers. That just seems hard to navigate and no matter what you do it won't be right.
Lastly I agree Josh gatekeeps and to be honest I don't blame him for it. He put years of his life into investigating Keyes and I think we can all agree that he did a good job, made people aware and actually helped to fast foward these missing cases. Police departments asked him about his research and it gave cold cases a new lead, it helped to give a John Doe his identity back, he's actively looking for bodies and Kamis family members felt heard the first time in decades. And he did all that as morbide as it sounds in an entertaining way. Maybe it's just me but I understand why he doesn't want people to take his hard work earnings away from him...who wouldn't?!

@06mrselfdestruct, it'd be pretty practical to virtually put a stop to this stuff, if we were willing to think logically (which aint happening anytime soon) & act accordingly.
Obviously you can never 100% eliminate rape or murder, but it can be drastically reduced. Minimized.
Strange there was an absolute explosion of rapes, kidnapping, & murders that just happen to perfectly align to the so called "empowerment" of females & their entrance into the workforce (which also caused wages to cease climbing even as work productivity kept increasing...you're free to lookup "Work Productivity vs Wages Chart"...it's quite something).
But yeah, let females have cars, phones - which you most assuredly will proclaim to staunchly support regardless as to how destructive such practices are to everyone including females themselves - you're going to have what we have. And you're going to also have a dystopian totalitarian police state too since females demand (& indeed require) constant special protections from da govahment!
Prior to us allowing females to go follow their own instincts, how could they be targeted for atrocities?
For the most part, a villain would have to do home invasions & do so at great risk that at least one male chaperone would be present & likely armed. Obviously there were some exceptions, but it wasnt even close to being "wide open" like nowadays. All these unmarried females everywhere. Puts any kids at grave risk too (plus kids forced to be around men who arent their biological fathers are something like 60 times more likely to be s3xually abused & probably even more likely to be neglected &/or abused in other regards).
Its a real disaster. And like all failed catastrophic revolutions, it refuses to concede defeat. Pretty ironic though that females will unconditionally support flooding their countries w/muslims even though they're obviously perfectly aware as to what that will mean for their deceitfully coined "rights" (extrajudicial privileges) long term if that flood isn't halted & reversed.
Females have always had more power than males. They've always ruled the house & had far more power "conditioning" children than men.
What greater power can you possibly imagine than being able to control what future generations believe?

He got off on people's fear and more importantly he was obviously a necrophile. And that is about the only thing he seems kind of ashamed of, given the fact he didn't want to tell "too many people in the room". So my guess it was some sick necrophilic act meaning sexually motivated, as pretty much all his murders. Probably best not to imagine too much. But as for your question of why, I'd say it was sexually motivated somehow, without being able to explain it.
