@ I have taken the time to watch the 10 first minutes of the video and, can't say I'm impressed. His understanding of the historical between relationship between science and Christianity is superficial at best and incorrect at worst. His insistence that Christianity opposed scientific progress and that apparently nothing of relevance in the history of science happened prior to the scientific revolution are two clear examples. The way he approaches the subject is also problematic. To me, he don't really seem to be interested in understanding the historical relationship between Christianity and science, and all the nuances it includes, but rather to make points for his worldview, and to be fair this seems to be what this guy called David Wood who he responds to also seem try to do. While I can admit that I am generally positive to Christianity I think the relationship between science and religion should be studied for the sake of being understood. If your interested in doing your own research on the topic I strongly recommend you to pick up the book "Galileo goes to jail and other myths about science and religion" by Ronald Numbers and twelve other leading scholars in the field. I can also recommend you to check out the literature I recommend in some of my video descriptions.

"Perhaps it might mean that GOD is right... and Aristotle is wrong?"

One important thing is, let's say non-christians believed in multiple gods, magic and superstition. Christians believed only in one God. So all things that happened or are present are from God or something else. That something else must be investigated by the Church that time because otherwise people became superstitious. So lightning and thunder was not something from the thundergod but it had to do with weather under certain circumstances.
    Hard to explain in English
