You know when an artist starts to play the piano in front of a live audience and after the first three notes, the crowd goes crazy, you're in for something very special and so loved. Amy Lee and her band are very special because she performs with such passion and emotion. It's my view that Amy is the greatest female singer songwriter performer we've ever seen, and that's why she's so loved around the world, including right here in London, UK. God bless her.

I remember seing them perform this song at a festival back in 2007, she played those three notes and said "I'm so sick of this song so you better fucking sing it with me", and we did! 😅 She famously doesn't really like playing it since as I've understood it she didn't write it, a former band member did (?)

If you really want to analyze her vocals, the best stuff to use is the 2003 AOL acoustic songs with just her and Ben with his guitar. They played this song, also GOING UNDER, and Bring Me to Life. Those really show her talent, and also showed why most of their best songs included Ben. He didn't get the credit he deserved.

This was THE song people remembered from their debut. Even Tourniquet, Going Under and Everybody's Fool couldn't hold a candle to the popularity of My Immortal
Bring Me To Life and Going Under were really big songs from the debut, BMTL being their biggest hit.
