- A very simple build I thought of for my Embermage that incorporates the widest range of damages and the fewest skills.
The primary use for this build is for group Crowd control and solo running.
However this build is powerful enough to still be useful in a group of 6, on elite.
I personally prefer to use a wand and shield for this build however I find that I tend to use a staff much more when I'm in a group of 4 - 6 people. simply for the damage you can deal. - Ігри

Great video man. This is the exact build I am doing with my ember mage and it is good to see I was on the right track. I did not put any points in deaths bounty yet but will be doing it for sure. Great skill combo to keep the damage going and the health and mana up.

actually, i just figured out that this bulid isnt dependent on your weapon dps at all, since prismatic bolt 's damage is based on character level rather than weapon dps, so basically its all about elemental % ( either a specific one or all damage% ) so this bulid have the avantage not being weapon-dependant. all you need is elemental damage increase on all your gear and cast speed.
What spells should I give to Pet and my mage for this build?
I really like your build but i may not be able to be utilize it, im looking for builds early on so that i do not have to use the console command to respec my skills later on . My question is how do you not have magma spear as it is the default spell? did you have to use the console command?
I don't get it some people thinks that using respec potion is cheating? even you use respec potion in a level 20 character, you can't kill a level 50 boss monsters. If this respec potion has an immortal power that can wipe out all level 200 mobs and even kill the creator of torchlight 2, well thats what you call cheating. Respec potion is just to reset your skills, nothing special, no additional points, no additional attributes. that's it respec, so please respect.
funny , i figured out a bulid similar to yours in my current game, thoug my mage is only lvl 63 , it hit as hard as yours with less powerful weapons . but im dual wielding wands with the dual wield skill scroll . i wasnt planning to use death embrace but your vid just showed me why i should grab it, great idea and i didnt eread the tier 3 stun bonus,

I've been using a very similar build and I like it but I also added Thunder Locus to the mix for added aoe carnage.

Maxing charge is unneccesary, agreed. But Elemental Attunement is a must for elemental damage builds / Prismatic bolts.
cyberdrone, when you get into town on the start of the game you can respect skills for free, at that time he respected and put a point on Prismatic Bolts. You can later always respect the last 3 skill points used for a price. You can use that freedom if you wish, no console.
As Embermage builds go, IMO Ice focus is the best on honest EHC play, skills from all levels and great crowd control.
I prefer the Outlander, but I will be trying out the Embermage just to see if I can do better as an Embermage, Outlander, or Engineer. I already have the engineer at max lvl. I probably won't be using the Berserker. Thanks for some ideas. :D
prismatic embermage is the most op build of all so far. other ember mage build is good but this prismatic bolt mage is the most op and only few skills to master
actually it is useful on many builds because their goal is to constantly stay at full charge. The thing is when you are at max charge you also do 25% more damage. I will admit that the elemental attunment is kinda useless unless you are using a weapon dps skill and the points in vitality are useless but other than that it is a good build.
is there any item that i can use to reset my skills ? or just the town one ?
there is a mod with respec potion in steam.
You can't reset in game without mods.
@@hukutka94 Just enable the console. It flags you as cheating but who the hell cares. It doesn't really matter.
My Engineer has a dps of 16k, if anyone has higher, how?
guys, why not take Wand Chaos?
1: it doesn't affect prismatic bolt (it only affects: magma spear, magma mace, shock bolts, and icy blast WHEN a wand is equipped)
2: it's a ridiculously low chance (38% at 15 points) and doesn't have much of an effect when you can spam prismatic bolt with max elemental attunement and lockdown the opponent
personally: if I am using magma spear and magma mace, I'd take staff mastery (where each successful hit with magma spear applies a sudden multi-elemental weakness up to 340+% weakness to all elements after 10 hits by the spears)
if you have faster casting speed and a full charge this means you are dealing SIGNIFICANTLY more damage and with the increased casting speed: the DPS goes incredibly high!
What exactly does new game +++ mean
I'll answer this super old question for people with the same question in the future: new game generally means "starting over, but keeping your gear (with stronger mobs)". Each plus stands for doing it once. So NG+ is the first time, NG++ the second and so on.
Except it gets 100% of the benefits of Elemental Boon, Elemental Overload, and lets you use all 3 Brands for a massive damage boost that you will never see from a Pure 1 Element spec. And lets you be more flexible in gear choices, since you don't have to hunt down that unique with 50% bonus fire damage in order to feel strong... you also aren't gimped against any monster that has high resists/armor against your chosen element type or is immune to its status effect.
I know this video is kinda old, you should really try to get your crit rate up 30 - 40%

Think ou did fine, you got the core skills for a PB build and Death's Bounty is not even neccessary. I persnally like to go with Astral Ally and Hailstorm as well but that is just personal preference.
Thunder Locus is also a good idea and I heard but not tested sthat Shock Orb is nice against bosses. But there is nothing wrong with your build. Just too many peple think they are entitled to talk people down.

If you are using gear with % elemental dmg or even % all damage you're losing DPS. Focus attribute gives higher bonus, 2 points of Focus = 1% all elemental dmg, you can even deal insane dmg without uniques or legendary, just get high level gear to enchant.
Look for the Attribute Enchanter and enchant all your gear... also do that for a few lower level ones if you want to make other chars on EHC and farm fast xD
I'm using a similar build for my embermage, death's bounty looks very interesting, I'm actually considering changing it if I make another. One skill you should consider adding is Hailstorm though, it stuns, freezes and lowers their resistance to ice and electric by 60% thus making it very good vs bosses. Also it has a huge area damage. If I make another I'd probably go with this build: tinyurl(.)com/n8ye4yt as for immolation, meh I always forget to cast it so I focus getting it on equip instead.

theres nothing wrong with using a respec potion, if he wants to experiment with different skills he shouldnt have to make a new character for every single skill
If you dont want to use a respec potion you dont have to but if you nerf your character accidentally then feel free to remake your character and spend another 40 hours getting him to lvl 100
how can ou have lvl 0 on magma spear?
You can reset your last 3 skill points in the first city, so you just have to go there before being level 4 or putting your fourth point ;)
Or just reset your statpoints with the game-console... there are lots of tutorials for this in the www
I was explaining a way to do it without cheating, but i'm not saying that the respect potions are bad; they're a really good way to test different builds without expending 400 hours leveling characters ^^
Or you don't use your skill points so when you reach the first city on your way you will be able to reset it ...

Elemental Attunement 1 point only for that extra second, if you are spamming Prismatic Bolts you don't need more, 0 gains.

I played basically the same thing for a while. It is really strong, although I only played it up until the level 30s.
However, youre statement "Completely ignore Strength and Dexterity" is way off. Spells can crit. Getting a decent 10-20% crit chance then stacking Crit Damage will result in heavier damage than pure focus builds will.
But, I see this video is a few months old so feel free to disregard all of this :)
Immolation Aura and Ice Prison are a total waste for this build. It really doesn't need them. Frozen Fate is a much better place to put those points.
Zap Rowsdower I really like this build and I'd like to test it out in Tarroch's Tomb. I'm good damage dealer. I've got over 1200 in focus at the moment (I think it's gonna be higher with better gear and some Borris). But I'm worried about defense. I've tried Tarroch's Tomb with this build and everytime harder enemies come to me, I'm dead. So I was wondering what to use as a defensive. Thank you so much,
Zap Rowsdower Thanks for the tip with Frozen Fate. I tried that couple minutes ago in Tarroch's and it works good. Much better crowd control. Only have to watch out for teleporting enemies which means instant kill. Yeah....need to move a little bit because most of the time I'm just standing on one spot and waiting for enemies to come kill me.
It's not a terrible build but your gem game is weak, no enchants and not the best gear. You'd get one shot all day in elite.
Lol gotta love how ur HP drops to half in a second with 4 mobs only while on Vet.
Where are your %DR and MaxHP sockets? Only have Immolation?

PS: "35% Electric Dmg amazing"? To your build that is less than 18 Focus from a level 82 item... that is crap.
