Thank you for this video! I've often wondered how these were supposed to work every turn, for mile after mile. Think I'll stop by the Mazda dealer and pick up a set; don't think mine have ever been replaced...

Thanks for the info! Such a great detailed video nobody else has made. Makes me understand the luberication system of my mazda much better. I think your spot on about the oil in the intake problem. Its a sign of bad oil injectors. Thanks again!

Thank you for the tip! I have been wanting to purchase a rx-8 because they are fairly cheap with low mileage with a motor that needs rebuilding. Either that or going to try to find a clean 84-85 rx-7

I wish we could buy set for under a few hundred bucks! We need an aftermarket upgrade injector

Im going to look at my oil injectors. Ive been having a bit of an issue lately, car idles rough, and then at about 5k rpm starting blowing crazy blew smoke and stumbling on its self. Have a load of oil dripping from my intake aswell. Its been stumping me.

You said check them as regular maintenance. At what interval? Also does this issue apply to the S2 injectors as well?

In the case of the carbon buildup, would something like the Sohn adapter keep that down or do you think the carbon contamination comes in from the combustion chamber?

so, would it be wise to put 2cycle oil in your fuel to help keep the rotaries lubed up?

i have a high pitched noise from my ''intake manifold''(standard intake setup) after some research i found out the the OMP causes this noise. not sure where the OMP is and i have a SOHN adapter upgrade, but is there any chance that the injectors or a vacuums under the manifold are the cause or are damaged?
Engine was only rebuilt 4000kms ago by a very reliable rotary specialist. never had this noise before and it came in around the 3000kms mark.
Any info would help as if i strip the manifold i cant start it to find the origin of the high pitched whine and i cant pin point it while its on, but it sounds like its coming from under the manifold or the manifold itself.
i have already used some techniques to see if the revs change with easy start spray around the manifold while running and there was no change. so i assume its not the intake manifold.
    TIA.

what if i want to remove those and just run pure premix and not oil metering pump?

    • @rotorshed8364
      @rotorshed8364  5 років тому +3

Yes you can. That way you can also run a nice synthetic oil.

@@rotorshed8364 also if i want to run e85 dont i need to buy remix that works with e85? I remember some company made e85 premix for rotaries

@@j0lel666 Don't know. Not used E85 yet but have built a few that run on LPG with no problems.

      J0lel
Question: why would you want to run a fuel that only has about 85% of the power output of petrol? With even worse mileage? Not trying to be daft, just curious. I know e85 burns cooler, for added boost, any other benefits?

@@Bluebeast2005 Runny E85 you can get more power but if you were to do this you would be runny a new ecu gas lines tons of stuff basically you can run a different afr tbh I suggest you do some research into why tons of drag cars run E85 and I just realized this comment is a year old lol
