Fun fact: The actor that played the VIP 4/Lion Mask actually has a pretty amazing story. He was struggling financially and took a trip to India on a spiritual journey with his 12 year-old son (his only family) because he had become disillusioned with life. They got stuck there when the pandemic hit and he ran out of money, forcing them to beg on the streets for food and beds. They were finally able to make it back home to Thailand after six months where he was still struggling to support himself and his son, but then he got the call from the director for this role in Squid Game (as the director loved his performance in Peninsula, the Train to Busan sequel). Now because of the sheer success of Squid Game, he and his son are much better of and his faith has been restored because he's said he finally has a success his son can be proud of.

The glass guy's mistake was he had a sample of the regular glass next to him. He should have reached over and tapped that pane to get the sound of the regular glass then tossed it. If the sound was the same, it's regular glass. If not, tempered.
@@johnglue1744 Maybe. The only thing that I think might be a problem is that you can shatter tempered glass with a pebble (or a piece of the ceramic top of a spark plug (not that I have any first hand knowledge of the effectiveness of a 1/4 piece of ceramic vs a 1986 Chevy S10 windshield)) if you throw it just right.
Could they have gone backwards and passed the marble to each other by bouncing it off a glass panel? It would be risky if either person drops it, but I think it could work.
@@MACReact Not sure what you mean. They are able to hand it to the next person so that seems unnecessarily risky way to pass the marble. As Chinese, I don't see what the big deal is if American watching Chinese media are pronouncing stuff wrong or mis-remembering. If it's not their native language it may not be easy, give them a break. Mispronunciation probably happens because many people cannot distinguish words of a language they’re not familiar with, so even if they hear the name being pronounced, they don’t actually understand/process what they’re hearing (I remember when I got better at some languages I’ve tried learning, going back to shows I watched before and picking out now-obvious words or names that I didn’t notice/hear at all on first watch). So for this reason, and because not everyone is good with pronunciation (even in their native language), I think it’s fine to give a pass to people on pronunciation. That being said, I think there’s nothing wrong for someone to commend these folks on their pronunciation, and add context as to why they find it impressive (i.e. that it’s not super common for reactors to recall & pronounce the name correctly). If people take that as an insult to other reactors, I think that’s on them more than on OP, since OP didn’t phrase it in a rude way at all IMO.

There are probably more VIPs out there that are watching online and these guys wanted to come to watch it in person for various reasons, just a thought.
The problem of the social system has been revealed, and now citizens around the world have to demand a new economic and social system. But the essence, as you said, is the "greed" latent in humans. No matter how institutional or system is in place, it is a property of greed that penetrates through it. We need to learn how to coexist with each other so that we can go to a higher civilization. You have to start by realizing that "greed for money" is not the best value, but a means of life.
In my own personal opinion based on no evidence whatsoever (LOL!), I think the games are not the same each time, especially if this is for the "enjoyment" of the VIP's. But, I think they may have a list of games they cycle through and pick and choose which ones to do each time. I am guessing it may get "boring" for all the higher-ups and even the host, the frontman and the guards if the games were always the same each time in the same order. Plus, it keeps everyone guessing so even the guards cannot be coerced into revealing what game may be coming up next. The games may probably also change based on the number of players and who survives each game. I agree about the married couple. My question about the married couple is did they not have that conversation during the last game on who would live on for the other or if they would both die together? Do not get me wrong, I can completely understand the guy feeling guilty about still living and his wife dying, but would it then just make more sense for them to decide to not even play the last game and just wait it out and spend their last moments together until the end to die together? As ruthless as Sang-Woo was, if he did not push that guy off, then he and Sae-byock (SP?) and Gi-Hun would not have made it across to the other side OR Gi-Hun would not have made it. The clock went to zero right when he stepped over. How embarrassing would it have been if the next glass over that Han Mi and Deok-Su fell on was tempered glass and they were just laying on top of each other? If I were that glass manufacturing guy, I would have threw the marble as hard as I could at the glass to see if it shattered. I just assumed there were other games selected before where the players had to choose a number first. But, it makes sense this particular game was played before.
Ahhh I see what you're saying. So basically like a Mario Party variety of games. Maybe like 20 or so different ones and only 6 are chosen for each Squid Game. And like you said they probably have different games on hand ready to go if the number of players drastically changes.
in defense to Sang Woo, if he didn't push the glass maker, they could have all run out of time and died, so basically even tough it's an asshole move, he's the reason the 3 of them survive at the end..

"Clutch" is something positive that happens during a tense or critical situation. To use some sports analogies: If Michael Jordan makes a shot to win the game, that's clutch. Or if Lionel Messi makes the final penalty kick to win the game, that's clutch. So when we say, "oh that was clutch!", what we mean is, "oh wow they almost failed but they succeeded!"

I thought the VIP's were going to be their family members and the next game would have something to do with them. I would have liked that more as a twist than what this was.
The fact my ass would land on the tempered glass but still fall because I’m unbalanced 😬 Also, my theory is they could have walked on the beam holding the glass. It’d take coordination but the only rule was making it across.
I don't think they play the same games everytime for the newer and old players from years past being that there's gonna be another season coming. We wanna see new games and they're gonna give it to us.
I agree with the blonde reactor about repetition of same games. Think like a Jeffrey Epstein - billionaires get bored quick if they see the same thing twice. There's probably a rotation of some 3 dozen children's games and each year they use 6 of them. Also, based on "Korean games being the best" - it's likely other countries take turns hosting just like the Olympics. This is also my guess - just because there were multiple binders (ex: 2007) on the shelves may not mean there were 12+ squid games that same year. That many people going missing each year makes the conspiracy less realistic. One binder could have the player main stats while other binders might be detailed financial information about them, family connections (for potential blackmailing), and even a binder devoted solely to the engineering schematics of that year's games.
I know it’s been a year but dang, so many nonsensical questions lol. Glass platforms all break after completion…”what was all that for, why” brody, this game is fucked, people have continuously died in every game and outside of it when they were in their bunk beds, there is no why in this “game show” lol.

I thought the VIP's were going to be their family members and the next game would have something to do with them. I would have liked that more as a twist than what this was.
The fact my ass would land on the tempered glass but still fall because I’m unbalanced 😬
Also, my theory is they could have walked on the beam holding the glass. It’d take coordination but the only rule was making it across.
I don't think they play the same games everytime for the newer and old players from years past being that there's gonna be another season coming. We wanna see new games and they're gonna give it to us.
Actually it's the games fault for not giving han min nyeo a partner,so she is not getting killed by a guard
One binder could have the player main stats while other binders might be detailed financial information about them, family connections (for potential blackmailing), and even a binder devoted solely to the engineering schematics of that year's games.
yesssss
love ittt
9:37 Lady, how dare you have the audacity to act surprised after what you just said.
I want you to watch and react a korean movie based on true story " miracle in no 7" . It is released in 2017 I think. .
We are all vip
Can I get a shark mask with dorsal fin?
Who else could have old hands, I wonder?
I know it’s been a year but dang, so many nonsensical questions lol. Glass platforms all break after completion…”what was all that for, why” brody, this game is fucked, people have continuously died in every game and outside of it when they were in their bunk beds, there is no why in this “game show” lol.
The men who play the VIPs are all really bad actors!
I forgot to mention that in the reaction but yeah...you're right about that
im soo sad when u cry in the episode 6 u look soo sad ..
So Korean kids play this game?

Or they just chose that shirt randomly like the rest of us. She's even wearing a Batman shirt, He wore a Loki shirt a couple episodes ago. Offense is taken not given, you'll be happier not searching for reasons to be offended when there are none.
We usually wear what's clean lmao
