I would love to see a stable version of this too! Even without AF still a useful tool but the electronic connection instability worries me.
I use mine for mostly two scenarios: vintage zooms with front elements that spin, and ultra wide angle lenses like the Sigma 12-24 f4 with no front filter threads. Works great in pinch but I do not use it for autofocus, thats for sure. Thanks for the vid!
Those are both totally reasonable use cases, at the end of the day it’s just another tool that can certainly still be used! Thanks for chiming in Matt!

Hey John, I appreciate the honest review as I was curious about this unit as well! Quick question about the Fringer FX II Pro. I‘m currently using it on my XT4 with a Sigma 18-35 but I’m noticing significant loss in video AF consistency especially on tracking faces when compared to my previous XT3. All my settings are kept the same between the two cameras so can you shed some light on your experience with the Fringer on XT4?
Hmmm I could not explain that honestly! If literally everything is consistent (picture profiles, etc.) then I have no idea why that would happen, I’m sorry!
@@johnstamw have you installed any firmware updates to the adapter since switching over to the XT4 by any chance?
@@thesamuelkim I had never performed any firmware updates to the adapter until using my XH2S. Even then, I wasn't sure it was necessary, but I did and didn't notice a change. Only time I ever feel a difference in AF performance is when using Log which is camera related... I genuinely can't think of anything else.
