    I thought the trumpers in my life would soften after they won. They have only become emboldened, and more irrasible. They showed us who they are. I say we believe them and act accordingly. Keep caring for those who live in love, not cruelty or mental illness they won't treat.

      Focus on the world around you, and the people you love; and the community that you can make an impact on. The internet makes us hyper aware of evil. it’s not everywhere. EVEN many of the people in power don’t think they’re evil so therefore have a capacity for good.

    Maybe just take a break from the friendship for a while. It doesn't have to be forever, but sometimes you need space from friendships, and that's ok; friendships can ebb and flow through life. Give it some space and maybe you'll be able to come back to each other after a while. She may regret her decision, she may not, but friendships should never be forced - no matter what the reason.

      I'm not Natasha, just another internet stranger, but here's my own experience. I smoked almost daily for the last 12-15 years. I never had any real issues with it for the most of it. I worked in the creative industry so in my twenties mind I never saw it as problematic (despite always knowing that my best work always came out during the sober moments). I moved to a new country five years ago and went from working in the creative field to working in finance. Very long hours and way too much stress (albeit good money). Weed was my only escape in what little free time I had, so I still kept thinking it was fine for me.
      Two years ago I lost my job due to the world economy shitting the bed, and I found myself spending a lot of time alone in my apartment, thinking about what to do with myself. I became very anti social and probably a bit depressed. I was applying for jobs left and right and no one would hire me, which crushed my ego after coming from two industries where I did pretty well. Last year was rock bottom for me. My self-esteem was at its lowest point, my girlfriend and I broke up, and I felt like I was living in a constant fog that was even affecting my ability to communicate (english isn't my first language, but I've spoken it for the majority of my life at this point). Being unable to articulate my thoughts really scared me, and I began to grow more and more anxious, to which I coped with by smoking even more weed. There were weeks where I would get really scary chest pains after smoking, which made me even more paranoid.
      In April of this year I found a staffing agency where I began doing wait staff and eventually bartending gigs. I knew I had to stop smoking weed if I was going to be facing customers and other team members face to face, and so I did. It has been the best decision I've made in a while. I love the feeling of being stoned, but as someone that listens to comedy podcasts all the time (especially This Is Important, two of the hosts have been guests in The Endless Honeymoon), something I've probably wanted even more than getting stoned is being able to have a sharp mind that can come up with puns and jokes on the spot. I'm definitely not there yet, but I absolutely love having a clear mind while I'm at work or just relaxing at home. My anxiety is at all time lows despite working a physically demanding job that doesn't fulfill my needs for creative expression and pays peanuts compared to what I used to earn. However, based on what I hear from the lovely people that I've met at work, and the few people I've gone out on dates with since I broke up with my ex a year ago, I'm a really good conversationalist. To me, this is a huge win when put in comparison with who I was 1-2 years ago. My social skills are at levels I'd never imagined, and now I'm just waiting to land a better job so that I can put these skills to use in my professional career. I'm still struggling to jump back into creative endeavors, but I'm slowly making progress there.
      Hopefully this brings some insight into what you're going through!

      @ Morally and scientifically, this issue is complex and concerning. Pre-puberty and puberty are ambiguous, confusing times in life. Sometimes young people feel attracted to the same sex, and these feelings may pass, or they may not. Either way, it’s not an issue in itself. However, pushing transitioning on those who are still young and vulnerable is deeply problematic. People should wait until they are at least 18.

      @@MilaMilovanovic It's not an issue to let kids exist and express themselves. You sound like a bully or just misinformed. It's morally barbaric and scientifically wrong to bully children for expressing themselves. And two teach your own kids to do the same makes it even worse. How does it affect you? It doesn't. But forcing trans kids to go into the closet and not express themselves raises the suicide rate and puts them at a health risk. Why would any non evil person do that? So morally, it's wrong to bully children and tell them they shouldn't exist.
      PS-children don't have irreversible surgery. They are literally just dressing differently and asking to be respected.
      Yes, it could be confusing, but my mom let be dress like a tomboy when I was a kid. I ended up just growing out of it because I was just a tomboy and also saw misogyny against girls. But there are trans kids who don't grown out of it because they are trans. And it didn't harm me to have my parents let me be who I am. And it doesn't harm a trans kid to be able to exist as themselves. It DOES harm them if they can't and people spread hatred towards them.
      And no one is pushing this on anyone. They are trying to get kids not to bully those who are trans. That is all. Just don't bully people or kids. How hard is that? Please stop spreading misinformation and stop spreading hate. If you don't know about a topic, teach yourself. Now trans people (adults as well) are in danger of not getting care, girls and women are going to lose more rights to their own bodies, etc. Hate is stupid

      @Pandi-Fackler Місяць тому

      @@MilaMilovanovicNo one is pushing transitioning on anyone. Especially not children. Kids have every right to explore who they are and who they want to be and they should be given a safe space to do that where they feel accepted by their peers. Medical transitioning can only begin when a person is in their late teens (usually after years of therapy and regular visits with other healthcare professionals) or later into adulthood.
