Very special place in my heart, this game - discovered it in Norton Holiday Park in Devon, 1987. The epic 'approaching the planet' tune still gives me happy memories of that summer - blew my entire stash of 10p's on this monster!
Games with endings were always my favourite at the Arcade :). I especially loved games where you fought in space AND on planets. I remember liking how each planet was a different environment, and how you fought Fallen Jedi with rainbow lightsabers and an RDF Gladiator mecha and Boba Fett and traveled to Cybertron! You even fight the Sand Peoples' deity lol.
This is what we call a legit run done with a maximum of five lives. If this was on a legit game board, the run would be close to a world record. Congratulations on such superb play in a very hard game from Technos Japan.
Just a little question to OP: At the end of the final stage (35:36), Final Boss (the one with the sword) hits you and from your damage indicator, kills you for good. Are you invulnerable at that point of the game?
On the Final Boss are different "anomalies" (on real arcade machine too). PS. I tried one moment ago fight with Final Boss and I have invulnerability anomaly again :)
I love a good play though as much as the next person, but seriously - why all the stand stills playing the same bit over and over and over and over and over and over and over ad nauseum? You sit there and keep hitting the same two villains from 17.49 to 20.17 before you finally run out of time. What was the point of that?
Oh wait a minute, you're off again. 19.13 to 20.17 this time... and then 20.28 to 21.25. Then 21.35 until finally at 22.12 you realise you can keep moving forwards!
See my reply to @vgnid in the comments. There are some anomalies in this game, both on the MAME emulator and on the real PCB, especially on the last boss. It's bug in game.

Perfect gameplay! This is how the game is supposed to be played.
Thanks.
Great job in surviving that challenging game. Very few can make it to the end.

My highest score is 9999990 (using leeching method and with no live limits) and still is available for download on MARP. Thanks :)
Legendary game... =))
like. Very good. One big game.
Great game.
I use the version at: www.retrogames.cc/arcade-games/xain-d-sleena-world.html.
Does anyone know the cheats for this version?

@@destructorHotTeampl yes, It happened to me as well in a longplay a month ago. Definitely a bug.
and what about that you can't defeat the final boss, and he escapes?
No time for defeat boss. Sometimes I kill him.
@@edupolanco He doesn't escape, he dies in the final explosion of the starbase. However, you can kill him there, if you want, it takes a little time.
Como puedo vajar el juego sol warrior
You know almost all the tricks in this game. F.
What's the point of standing around farming kills in a couple of those levels? Is it for extra lives?
Not for extra lives because settings for extra lives is set to 20k and 80k only, it is MARP Retrogame settings. It is for points.
porca miseria sei una macchina!
