I want to know why Canada is giving Mastercard 50 million dollar. Last quarter they reported earnings of 4.4 billion. I am angered that we are hit with a carbon tax and then you give our money to rich corporations.

when you read into the history of Canadian politics you start to see how & why liberals still win elections even with multiple tiers of corruption throughout the party. They favour big companies & tax the little guys while acting as if it’s the opposite. Sadly the NDP isn’t much different & the Conservatives are a whole other mess in this country. Liberals have a dedicated “following” that date back to Anglo/Francophone issues within the country even tho in modern times our nation has become so diverse that the French are almost on the same level as any other non-anglo minority. Modernizing Canadian politics will take someone who has Canadian values in their best interest, wants to see room for the middle class to grow, doesn’t think taxes are the answer to every issue whether global or national, & isn’t focused on English & French relations but more so on Canada as a whole. Not a single party we currently have can say they do it all.

Maybe it is just editing but Nancy appears to be about to tear up the speech, then waits for the cameras to come back from the crowd shot to show her doing it. Either way, it was almost certainly pre-planned and a deliberate act of disrespect. If this childish, 2 year old temper tantrum, display is the best they can do with their time, they have no business trying to run a country. They rammed through a no crime, no victim, no witnesses, no due process accusation due to the "URGENCY": held on to the articles for a month (NO LONGER URGENT) and then expected the judge/ jury to do their job of prooving their case. Now they cry and whimper because they did not get their way!

It’s sad to see this much disunity in our country and our political parties. We are two sides of the same coin. Unfortunately, I’m noticing both parties seem to be fighting for their own party and interests rather than America. I do like most of what was said on this speech and the state of our economy under this administration, but I have to admit I don’t particularly admire Trump as a person. I support a few policies but don’t like listening to him.
However, seek Pelosi’s actions here is not brave. It’s rather pathetic, especially since she tore up accomplishments celebrated and commended individuals.
