I've come to the conclusion that every metal band needs a saxophonist.
This album is an epic masterpiece. You definitely need to hear it in its entirety.
One of the best metal album ever made.

I'm seriously shocked that you've never listened to Where Owls Know My Name in it's entirety!? This album takes you on an incredible & magical journey. It's just a masterpiece from start to finish. I'm usually not a death metal guy but after listening to this album for the first time I just had to get a physical copy of it. For sure one of my best purchases ever. Still listen to the album every other week. It's that good.
I fucking LOVE this album. It’s not even fair how good it is. It was one of my faves of 2018, along with Zeal & Ardor’s “Stranger Fruit”.

It was tied with Slugdge's Esoteric Malacology for me. 2018 was just such a great year for metal overall. Hath's breakout LP was nuts, too.

I only play my main favorites now buy my first few plays were great.
This should be an example to show bands of any genre to not be afraid to take risks
I always thought Subtle Change was the standout track of the album that was always underrated/never suggested. You more often than not see people recommend the usual tracks like silent life, a Home or Where owls know my name which in itself are banger.
Death is real
I would rather recommend Hollow, since it seems more... radio-friendly with a clear chorus. Their singles are absolute bangers though.

Discovering the band now, I think this is the strongest track by far.

2018 was a great year for Death Metal. Slugdge - Esoteric Malacology was another great album from this year.

YES! Owls & Dreamless are 2 of the greatest albums I had the pleasure to discover in recent years.
I goddamn love this album so much. The saxophone is just beautiful on this album, it adds so much "flavour", this album is a death metal masterpiece.

I was so late to this album, I knew about it when it came out but I didn’t listen to it, I finally did a few months ago and I was absolutely blown away, had I listened to this album when it first came out, it no doubt would’ve been my album of the year for 2018, an absolute masterpiece

If I had to request one final song for this album, check Hollow. I slept on that track for so long, but now it's my favorite. No sax, but a beauty of a chorus.

You need to, NEED TO review any song off of "Odyssey to the West" by Slice the Cake. Such an amazing album.

One of my all time favorite live sets honestly. Saw them with Lorna Shore and FFAA and these guys musically were just another level
This is the song that got me. Took me a while, but I fell in love with this album so hard that I have a tattoo idea inspired by it that I plan on getting done
My opinion on this song and album has evolved so much since the first time I heard all of it. From a purely technical standpoint, this is the album's high point. Thematically, Hollow is probably my favorite just because of how well it captures the tragedy of the album's story. And from a personal enjoyment stance, Capricorn/Agoratopia is easily my favorite track. I don't dislike a single track, which is kinda rare for me. I'm usually able to find at least one part of an album I straight-up don't like, but this one makes it hard.

I definitely think you would like A Sense of Gravity- Revenant/Guise of Complacency (Full Band Playthrough). It is super proggy, and has a BtBAM quality to it.

A couple months ago a coworker recommended this album, I listened to it and was instantly blown away. I've yet to revisit the album since but I will definitely get the album.

There is something really mystical and curious about that cover, combined with the magical trip that is the song, just feels so good, and im not a huge death metal guy but this was something else!

You should check out their album a Monarchy as well. It's not as refined as WOKMN but it's still a really great effort. No sax though
