The fact that you can do shit like this makes me love this game even more. The funny part is that I don't think the AI has any way of reclaiming the fiefs if you don't create a kingdom
That's 100% correct :) What I usually do is break away, sue for peace, spend a year or so building up the fiefs (better defense, upgrade influence buildings, etc.) and then go become a vassal for the next kingdom, rinse and repeat. The 1st vassal takes the longest and it gets significantly easier after that!

I am just about to watch this video but before I do I wanna say that when I knew I will be declaring the kingdom soon I gathered most of my current kingdoms parties into army then disbanding and declaring own kingdom and fighting them all defeating big amount of them which was a good head start
I love this so much, I'm doing a variant of this I call the gaslighter The game as of 1.1-1.2 has a funny mechanic: - proposing policies/peace treaties/to revoke settlements doens't cost you any Reputation. Only the actual votes give you - or + reputations with specific clans - clans always lose influence if they appear in ballots, so you can drain their influence without losing reputation (and instead, gaining a massive amount of reputation with select clans, by being smart with what to enact) by voting in favor of certain clans (but that will cost you your influence too) So here's how it goes: - I stack up a lot of influence (thanks to the charm perk) - I trade back all the shitty castles the king decided to give me - Drain everyone's influence, without losing reputation. To do that you propose policies, wars or peace treaties that no one wants, then vote in favor of the clans, you will lose influence, but so will they. BUT you are not going to lose reputation, instead you are getting it maxed out with everyone - once everyone's drained check the fiefs you want, - ideally sort kingdom fiefs by prosperity, that is not held by the ruler, and propose to give that to someone else - vote no (in favor of the owner clan) just to make sure you are maxed in reputation with them and that their influence is drained (they will not appear on the ballot when that happens) - do it until their reputation with you reaches 100 and they drained their influence, propose to resettle the fief one more time, and vote with 20 influence so you would lose the least amount of rep - a new vote will happen, and you will most likely appear on the ballot, again, vote for yourself, with the absolute minimum required influence You can gaslight everyone into giving you their fiefs (except the king), with very little impact on reputation I love the stupidity of this game's diplomacy system so much lol Edit: as an addendum, you will cap out in the amount of fiefs the king is willing to give you and you will no longer appear on the ballot, to keep getting fiefs, you can then start kicking out clans, you can do it in a way that won't ruin your reputation by voting against it initially then voting for it with the absolute minimum amount of influence
Have to say that I absolutely love the "drain influence" shenanigans in Bannerlord. Sad thing is that given how stupid the AI actually is, this may be the only way to either enforce some good policies or prevent your kingdom from going to war vs the rest of Calradia. You need to be a bit careful though, coz other kingdom(s) may declare war on you and having drained the kingdom vassals dry, they will be unable to form their own armies and defend. Currently playing this game on Xbox and from what I've seen one of the best ways of farming influence is to abuse the "donate troops" mechanism. You just need to form an army with your spouse or other family member (they need to have a party of their own) and just support them with the best troops you have. Strait after that you can get those troops back, rinse & repeat. Tried that move several times earlier today. Donating something like 90+ Fian champions (or however these guy are called) + some cavalry to waifu for 105 influence each turn. Caladog was absolutely crying with his pathetic 160 influence while I was forcing a yet another peace agreement with the Khuzaits. To be fair - I really like this exploit fest. I once had a similar plan, but not near as wicked. Leading the shifty Apple Bandit clan I started out from Battania so I could make friends with Vlandian lords (catch and release) and hoped to eventually get a nice town at the edge of the map before switching to Vlandia. It's been a long time, maybe I'll get back into Bannerlord, or maybe try a heavily modded Banner Kings campaign.
@@Strat-Guides I loved the Improved Garrisons (2.0?) mod, but you'll need to be careful or it will feel like cheating. And, if you let the garrisons level too high, will bankrupt you. I love the patrol, it helps against bandits a lot. And not having to travel, recruit and train noobs that die a lot. So I set the mod to automatically recruit up to a hundred and level slowly up to level 3. My savegame broke and I recreated it with the console (giving me a start army and money), but I went for independence to fast. The first fiefs I got were north of Ortysia and soon got neverending war with everyone, Battanions, Empire, Vlandia and even Aserai, all close... I was gonna get back into the game when the economy was fixed a bit, but haven't started a new game yet. I'm curious how it plays now.
This has been one of my favorite ways to play a campaign; the traitor. Join early on, do everything in my power to make the lords like me and dislike the king, capturing lots of officers and then releasing them near the King's domains hoping the lords will respawn closer and attack his areas, destroying the economy of his fiefs by completely monopolizing things, before finally (using Diplomacy mod) forming a sub-faction, causing a civil war, and then seceding to start my own kingdom allied with the rebels. Takes awhile, usually by the time I get my kingdom rolling in this style my children are almost adults (at 2x growth speed), but it sets you up very nicely for the early-kingdom game. As long as you help the rebels keep the kingdom at bay for awhile. I usually go with the Khuzaits, Vlandians, or Southern Empire for these runs, they have a couplereally nice defensive positions to start a kingdom in
@@papalagoon3959 It is from Diplomacy mod (and a few others have similar). I don't remember what it is called in game, but the mod allows different "parties" to form within a kingdom, wanting to either depose the ruler or secede.

Truly amazing video man, I enjoyed it from start to finish. Took me about halfway through the video until i realized the /s and was still thinking this was truly a guide to be the best vassal haha. The amount of influence you kept having was all due to charm perks? I'd love to recreate a playthrough like this myself. Again thanks for the video!
Thank you! Lol yeah I probably should have been a bit more clear :P The charm 275 perk helps a ton, but also some of the other charm perks that boost battles influence gain. You can get 70 - 90 influence in a single battle, especially if you catch a solo party and defeat them by yourself. It all adds up pretty quickly. So this style can work for a complete WC too - you can repeat with each kingdom and just neuter them completely, start executing people and do a solo-clan WC :)
I'm new to the game on PS5 and have found your guides the most helpful. Thanks very much! This video was great and gave me a good laugh. What an amazing game this is!
Judas spent more money and influence on these schemes than he'd ever get from those fiefs he gained. My man has some serious dedication to betrayal and revenge.
Derthert was my op. Once his army was super small so I defended them and kidnapped derthert, planed to sell him but he escaped. Tried to take him on 2 times after that lost my whole army both times. So on the third time after leaving a big battle I attacked him and won, initially I planned on taking out his whole fam cuz he’s my op. But I had him and his men where moving in fast so I killed him. Hooray
Usually if I want to destroy some kingdoms from the inside,I would take as much fiefs with me as possible, then pull out all the garrison troops and milita for a battle I know I would lose. The fiefs and castles are left undefended, easy targets for anyone to take on.Or I could just steal garrison troops from my"fiefs",and done.Leave the kingdom, the lords hate you,but what can they do?You have the elites that will help you relinquish your hold before joining other factions as vassals
another good way is to use a mod that allows you to marry more than one person and stay as your clan no matter who that person is then marry all the heirs of the clans you can then only work as a merc for the time required never ask to be made a vassal and dont join any faction keep your army as small as possible using mainly family members and a small number of high tier troops to fight from a defensive stand point and while aiding allies in battle have death come to said allies if its in battle you wont be blamed and the clan that lost the member will lose a general and also a large amount of power within the kingdom i used this to become the most powerful kingdom in sturgia and was voted king by a vote of 99 to 1 by all the minor clans
you know, I had thought I had a really nice nest egg of 1mil denars I finally reached last night, and here you are casually saying "sued for peace for only 900k". CLEARLY if I thought blacksmithing was "broken" I was wrong, its necessary
I am currently a minor lord in first playthru with Valandia. War everywhere. Conspiracies abound. Super annoying. Came here trying to figure out how to get nobles and lords on my Sides and become KING. Thx 🙏🏻
So at 3:04, The Betrayer is a tier 6 clan with Average wealth whilst spending tens of thousands of denars on military. At the same time, the faction leader has a party size that outmatch any army. 😂 If I was role-playing Derthert, I wouldn’ve been worried as hell and started colluding with other nations to take him down

- once everyone's drained check the fiefs you want,
- ideally sort kingdom fiefs by prosperity, that is not held by the ruler, and propose to give that to someone else
- vote no (in favor of the owner clan) just to make sure you are maxed in reputation with them and that their influence is drained (they will not appear on the ballot when that happens)
- do it until their reputation with you reaches 100 and they drained their influence, propose to resettle the fief one more time, and vote with 20 influence so you would lose the least amount of rep
- a new vote will happen, and you will most likely appear on the ballot, again, vote for yourself, with the absolute minimum required influence
You can gaslight everyone into giving you their fiefs (except the king), with very little impact on reputation

So this style can work for a complete WC too - you can repeat with each kingdom and just neuter them completely, start executing people and do a solo-clan WC :)
Breaking the game not through cheat codes or glitches, but gas lighting and canceling. Absolute madlad.
Just a little thinking outside the box :D
This is awesome I’ve been using this guide to slowly take over the map
Nice, glad to see it's working for you too :)
I'm new to the game on PS5 and have found your guides the most helpful. Thanks very much! This video was great and gave me a good laugh. What an amazing game this is!
I'm happy to hear that!
30 seconds in and you use the Benny Hill Theme - i know this is going to be good
Lol that goose was so hard to hit without using a crosshair! Thanks for watching :)
Really enjoyed that story, especially like that sneaky reference to fresh prince :)
Haha thanks for watching :) I loved that show back in the day
He sure did take revenge seriously far...
love the story you should be a novelist such great work really at least a screenwriter loved the fresh prince of Bellaire
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Judas spent more money and influence on these schemes than he'd ever get from those fiefs he gained. My man has some serious dedication to betrayal and revenge.
Lol it's a long term investment :) It will pay off after a few years I think!
This sort of short story sort of stuff is amazing.
I'm glad you liked it! I had fun making this one
The fresh prince reference was funny 😂❤
that KCD soundtrack is awesome! I wish bannerlord would have something like that too
I could listen to that soundtrack on loop for a year straight and not get tired of it. I can't recall any game that had it that good!
Im glad to see the passion for Dertbag hasnt extinguished
Hahaha it will never end :)
Judas lived by and died by the knife. His legend will forever go on.
Hooray
Amazing work!
Great video
The goose was hilarious
Haha It reminded me of that game where you play as a goose and run around causing trouble!
But the way you went all serious then played the music lol
That goose was stronger than a prision guard
The prince of Bel-Air reference was the funniest thing I've ever seen
Lol Thanks for watching :D I used to watch that show all the time when I was younger
i love these story driven tutorials
That prince of bell air skit was crazy
Once again, you've shown me something new.
Once again, great things, horrible but great
Thanks for watching Tom! Where's Jerry btw? :D
Its like watching an episode of Nathan For You lol. Awesome work
Thank you!!
I haven't played Bannerlord and I have no idea what you were doing the entire video. Keep it up :-P
Haha yeah this was a bit of an advanced technique :) Thanks for watching!
@@Strat-Guides Well thanks for making the video! I know and knew nothing about Bannerlord and it was still fun to watch haha.
You really improved in your storytelling. That was a nice Video :)
Thank you! It's not easy for me since I usually speak in numbers and databases :P
@@Strat-Guides You did a great job here :)
another good way is to use a mod that allows you to marry more than one person and stay as your clan no matter who that person is then marry all the heirs of the clans you can then only work as a merc for the time required never ask to be made a vassal and dont join any faction keep your army as small as possible using mainly family members and a small number of high tier troops to fight from a defensive stand point and while aiding allies in battle have death come to said allies if its in battle you wont be blamed and the clan that lost the member will lose a general and also a large amount of power within the kingdom i used this to become the most powerful kingdom in sturgia and was voted king by a vote of 99 to 1 by all the minor clans
Lol what a throw back with that throat clearing from mad tv...those were the days. Story time was good too!
Haha yeah that old lady was hilarious!! I always remember the buffet skit in Vegas with the same actor that plays Stewart :)
@@Strat-Guides Lol yup that was a good one, they don't make em like they used to.
you know, I had thought I had a really nice nest egg of 1mil denars I finally reached last night, and here you are casually saying "sued for peace for only 900k".
CLEARLY if I thought blacksmithing was "broken" I was wrong, its necessary
This is better (or butter) than recent Game of Thrones series.
Lol love the butter reference - Derthert has no more butter after this whooping! Thanks Ivan :D
This was great watch lol I actually learned a loooot from this! Thank you lmao
lol well done, this is epic, I am usually not into comedic gameplay but this is done so well
This is some awesome thinking outside the box. Great video
This could be helpful, currently gathering khuaiti noble sons way away from my king ...
That was fucking wild. I'd feel filthy if I did that, but it was amazing to watch.
In all fairness, most of these kings are filthy animals and deserve it :D Thanks for watching!!
Best BANNERLORD vids. Cheers. 👍🏻👍🏻
The beginning reminds me of Monty pythons holy grail scene where the peasants are just stacking mud piles on top of each other lol
Hahaha that's true! I was actually thinking about trying to add in some Monty Python in my videos soon, I'll have to get some good clips :)
I'll be honest I would consider watching a playthrough of this...
Or at least checking in on it for regular updates.
I'm doing something with it on the weekends when I stream! If I can get the full campaign to work, I'll edit it down and make a fun video out of it
@@Strat-Guides awesome my give it a watch, also didn't you stream yesterday or am I getting mixed up with someone else?
The fresh prince bit killed me, but I love scumbag Derthert!
Lol That was a good show back in the day :)
Amazing. It's like a character straight out of Shakespeare.
Lol I tried to make this one nice and dramatic :) Fortunately the AI does a good job of that on it's own too!
@@Strat-Guides hahah it was definitely dramatic for sure 😂
This!... this!! Was what I needed to know!!!
my god, ur video always inspires me to play a little more "creatively" and I LOVE IT Lmao
Glad you enjoy it!
I am currently a minor lord in first playthru with Valandia. War everywhere. Conspiracies abound. Super annoying. Came here trying to figure out how to get nobles and lords on my
Sides and become KING. Thx 🙏🏻
Haha nice, go show them how it's done :)
Man, I've struggled to get castles and etc. All my plans is WAR WAR WAR KILL KILL KILL.
YET AFTER SEEING THIS IM GONNA BE WAY MORE POLITICAL.
So at 3:04, The Betrayer is a tier 6 clan with Average wealth whilst spending tens of thousands of denars on military. At the same time, the faction leader has a party size that outmatch any army. 😂 If I was role-playing Derthert, I wouldn’ve been worried as hell and started colluding with other nations to take him down
Another great video. I love this format of video as well
Thanks!! Oh good, I wasn't sure if this was the right move, but it seemed much better than a typical guide just showing the moves. Hopefully the strategy is still clear as this is 100% viable in a legit campaign :)
@@Strat-Guides yeah nah when you had did those Influence strategys to neuter the whole kingdom I genuinely was like wtf this guys on another level. Keep up the videos man👍
As someone who played Kingdom Come Deliverance for over 500 hours, that background music had me so confused watching M&B gameplayer to it
It's so good though!
@@Strat-Guides I bet, took them about 8 years to compose
At 2:04 you had a good fight. Well done Smeagol 😂
once again the master of bannerlord (aka the shaft master) uploads
haha the shaft master, that's a good one :)
Mum: What should we name our son?
Dad: Something trustworthy and honest!
Judas 18 years later:
Your videos are great keep them coming😁👍
Thanks for watching! I wanted to release the tactics video this week, but by Wednesday I already knew I didn't have enough time so I pushed it back a week and worked to get this one out instead so you at least got something this week :) Next week is going to be the massive tactics update for 1.9
I laughed, I cried. Thanks man.
Lol thanks for watching :D
Derthert really though he could keep sanala for himself in my campain but he will regret that
Wow. what are these super strats. Dude i am still hunting looters 20 years in my game. This is insane. I would have never thought that bad policies are a good way to become rich? Can;t believe you pulled this off.
It's actually a lot easier than doing legit conquests lol all you need is some influence :)
Damn, Judas went all in on the revenge and I absolutely love it. What did we learn? Don't fuck with Judas!
Even more important, don't mess with his wife! LOL She came out on top in the end and only had to do 10% of the work to get there. :)
My man used the Kingdom Come Deliverance music and thought we wouldn't notice
On the contrary, I used it because I wanted everyone to notice it! It's one of the best sound tracks ever, game or not :D
Imma need that rags to riches part 3 my man
I know man I keep pushing it back - too many things keep popping up :( I have a bad habit or starting 10 projects and finishing 3 of them lol
I just recently became a vassal for the vlandians, and I found that every new fief was awarded to me. As opposed to the battanians who gave me nothing.
Wow needed this guide thank you for all you do brotha
Lol who are you going to Judas first?! :) Thanks for watching
Steam workshop is up baby! Taking a break from the game till launch as I assume mods are going to be all over the place with the launch patch, super excited to start a new campaign in a couple weeks.
Yeah they got it up this morning!! So to my knowledge, the 1.9.0 beta patch that's out now will be the final release patch. I assume they will hotfix a few things still though. We're almost there!!
Peasents: So what kinda animals guards your treasure? Lions, tigers maybe crocodiles ?
Judas: canibalistic gooses
@@OliverMichael8 geese*
So this is basically a summary of PLC's history.
Lol good analogy!
Forever, after this, the name "Betrayer" was used throughout Calradia for those who are traitor to their own king and kin.
Without Judas Jesus wouldn't have died.
I feel like he could have said "Et tu, Judas" on the cross lol
Very creative, well done!
Thanks for watching!
This went quickly to 300+ Banner Knights....
reduce influence:
4:45 (policies: royal guard, trial by jury)
05:39 (disband armies)
prison break + extra:
