I've been listening to Dr. Kaltenegger around UA-cam quite a lot lately. She does say that the NEXT generation of large space telescopes could provide less ambiguous results than our present instruments. Since rocket companies are developing wider rockets to carry larger loads, wider aperture telescopes could be in the offing in the coming decades. Still, JWST is FAR from obsolete already. Scientists, not to mention coders, are mining those data to reveal better and better pictures. It's all about increasing that sigma value: the higher the sigma, the more trustworthy the observation. One example Dr.Kalteneggar points out is the ambiguity surrounding recent data that Venus' atmosphere contains phosphene. Phosphene is a component of living organisms here on Earth. The thing is the phosphene readings from Venus are said to be only 2 sigma. This means the values are nearly indistinguishable from pure chance and noise in the data system. Problematic, at best. Scientists like 5 sigma values and greater if they can get them. Right now Dr.Kalteneggar reports interesting results from an exoplanet 124 light years away referred to as K2-18b aka EPIC 201912552 b. This may be a hypothetical world with liquid water ocean under an atmosphere whose chief component is hydrogen. You've already heard of "Hycean worlds," and this could be one of them. They are still puzzling over the presence of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmospheric data provided by JWST. More observations with the MIRI instrument on JWST are needed. It's still early days yet. Great content on here! Keep it up!
Dr Holland has also stated that his "source" has translated the signal into an image. I've reached out to Simon and he replied that "I've not seen it for myself"....so, that's the latest, as of last week, anyhow.
I've been helping SETI classify the signals for the AI that this video talks about. Most of the signals are noise or common easily identifiable signals, some are being massively modulated, some are chirping, some look manmade 100%. I can't wait for them to figure out what some of these signals actually are because a good 5-10% of them don't look naturally occuring at all
I think it could be like an intermediate step before revealing than the ETs have been coming to Earth for a very long time. It's all part of a very well thought-out plan.
My main Gripe with Seti and others that Search for Intelligent Life on other Planets, is that they are only looking at Planets that are Earth like. Ergo same Habitability requirements that Humans need, which is far to constraining, Presumtues and Narrowminded in the way of thinking. If they want to find things, then broaden it too all Planetary Types, as theirs other Species that have probably the Opposit requirments then what we need or none at all pending on what type of Life Form they are, Lithoid, Silicon, other Humanoid, possibly even Cybernetic etc. It could be that other Species do not require Oxygen to Survive and need a Gas type to Breath, or Liquid. I think you get my point on this. This is a topic that kind of Aggrivates me personally that they seem to think that any Life form needs to have the same Requirements that EArth type Ecosystem needs.
I wish i could remember who said it, but before JWST launched, it was planned that it would announce this about 2 years in. Edit: And it's not the first time. Sgt Clifford Stone predicted "an interstellar probe will visit in 2016-2017". And then Oumuamua came. Unfortunately he didn't live to see it.
Techno and bio signatures will likely lead the way to this announcement eventually. Whether it's sooner or later depends solely on the advances in our detection....and Webb is a marvel.
Whatever it was that I seen that could still be going around our planet!!!!! and sending little craft down here!!!! is not from here or we got tech we cannot know about...
Of all the planets that exist why wouldn't there be other intelligent life. I understand it would have to be perfect like earth well I'm from Texas and it gets freaking hot and to me that ain't perfect and I lived in Chicago for two years and got so cold that if it wasn't for the ability to create heat and clothes this planet would actually kinda suck 🤔 so it's not perfect so it doesn't have to be perfect in order to live and thrive as long as you have ability.
When I see seti involved it means no discovery but seeing James garbage web in the story they do need to feed it something so people don’t think it’s all junk
What do you think? Was this SETI scientist right? 🤔

I've been saying that for ages too. I agree 💯
She has to justify her research grant for a few more years
Or be vilified for confirming ufos in our airspace.
They found carbon dioxide and methane on k2-18b I read.

I kinda believe grusch. So if they don't like him, it kinda makes me question seti.

Nice work my man
A line from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet seems appropriate here, The lady doth protest too much methinks.
Hi Ben love the channel is there a way to privately speak with you ?

There is a clip out there where the head SETI man said we would most likely find ET by 2025, he said this mid 2000's
The 2nd part to Dr Simon Hollands video says that his source has DECODED the signal, and its an image....An Image of WHAT??

Who is this Drip! I’m listening to he doesn’t sound like a scientist he sounds like a punk rapper
remember once you open pandoras box there is no closing it
Ok, this means nothing pretty much.
What does SETI think of all the UAP's flyin around?
That will put them out of work. They have to look across the universe so far they won;t see anything.
