Such a great Raider! I’m thankful for him and his time with the Silver and Black. Amazing how he peaked in his mid-30s. He had come along in this era, he may not have had the opportunity and we may have never heard of him.
At one point, the raiders were the winningest organization in sports. That’s why the fans EXPECT greatness. I hope we can start winning like the old times so we can condition the next gener-Nation on expecting greatness as well
Omm, 96’ baby, so besides the Gannon X Jerry Rich and Tim Brown days in 2002-2003, they sucked my whole life. But out here in the Bay Area I got to watch the Warriors @ the Oracle Arena dominate the 2010s-2022 era, so I know what it feels like to Win and I want that so bad for the Raiders.
That whole 2002 team was special, coaching staff included, could less about any clown that had “stats”, this man will always be one of the greatest Raiders of all time!
Gannon truly played the game between the ears, which is why he got so much out of his limited talent. He did just enough with his legs to keep defenses honest, and he could deliver the ball from any arm-angle. One of the best side-arm passers I've ever seen. I really thought we should have won a couple Superbowls with him and that roster.
Gannon didn't make business decisions. He basically ended his career with a helmet to helmet hit, sliding head first trying to pick up yardage. Not the smartest play for a qb to make but Rich Gannon cared about winning. A great Raider
Rich we stuck with you through thick and thin. That SB loss was just one we couldn't avoid. You went up against the man who made the offense you ran. It was unfortunate but I don't blame you or Callahan. Gruden had our number.
The last Elite Franchise Quarterback we had We need another leader and skilled player like Rich but we need to draft him to our organization and stop looking for bandages at the most important position in Professional
He could help this team if they listen to him and ask for his help and input. He and Kurt Warner are two of many QBs that maximized their talents and weapons to the ultimate. Unfortunately for Gannon he got hoodwinked and had his worst game in the Superbowl.
I knew something was wrong the moment I saw them take the field..it was like someone died...and it's a testament to Gannon and those professionals that they even got back in the game with 6 minutes left...they did at least get them on the ropes once..
It always cheers me up to listen to Rich Gannon talk football, I still have his Jersey that I use to wear when I was in High School Go Raiders!!!!!!!!!
Best raider qb I've ever seen in Sliver and Black in my lifetime! Had all the intangibles. Excellent vision, could predict defenses like no other, understood the game inside and out, could always turn busted plays into gains, just threw a beautiful spiral ....list just goes on and on! With Rich, you always had a chance. Its just so sad because he deserved that SB! Half the team showing up drunk or hung over, Barrett Robbins and his unfortunate mental issues, relying on a playbook the opposing defense knew just as well as the offense, and having to face your former HC -- they were setup for failure. Regardless, Gannon will always be my most favorite Raider/player of all time!
My whole family Raider fans. My first memories jeff hostiller time. Rich Gannon was the first time my Raiders became great. He could not miss. As long as he was on the field, i knew we had a chance. I use to hear all the stories. Dad said they would play with a mystique about them back in the day. Would always find a way to win.
I remember watching Rich play against the Raiders when he was backing up Steve Bono in Kansas City. What an exciting player to watch, he could throw from the pocket, he could run, he could run and throw accurately. I always wondered why he wasn't a starter somewhere. I was elated when he came to the Raiders. "Once a Raider Always a Raider".
You are the reason we won AFC west titles, championship games and for us to go to the superbowl..you are always going to be my hero for what you did for my team.thanks rich
I was about to be 13 when this man came to the RAIDERS and ever since he left they've been sorry, that's sad. Best RAIDER QB I've ever seen, miss the good old day's when teams took the RAIDERS seriously.
Damn Rich Great Interview never have seen this type of conversation was Great sounding language like a true baller and what I like most is that your were and still a Raider
Rich Gannon as the Raiders QB was the best we'll ever have. Even over the 60s-80s qbs, he faced modern defenses and was able to dictate the game and give a 40 year old Jerry Rice a 1K season FFS
Sir, Please come back to the Raiders and start for this Raiders team. I ranked you better then Kenny Stabler, Jim Plunkett. Derick Carr is good but gets rattle easily. You are the best. You will always be the best in my mind. I never got to watch Daryle Lamonica, or George Blanda, or Tom Flores. You are the best. Minshew still in diaper. Menshew sucks.
Love Gannon! Followed him to Oakland from KC and have been a Raider fan ever since.
What a great competitor and a Leader, Respect #12
There’s only one # 12 drafted by the Raiders, won a Super Bowl with the raiders and went into the Hall of Fame as a raider
I always wished Gannon was on the coaching squad!!!!!he's a true raider through and through!!!!!!
Better than pierce.
Him and Eric would be a nasty dual especially being a qb coach and coming up with schemes or taking the oc🔥🏈
Agree! Wish he was on staff right now as QB coach or even calling plays, his breakdown of game each week is really good!
I see a lot of gruden in him. You can really tell how much he respected gruden and it left a mark on him
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!!
Such a great Raider! I’m thankful for him and his time with the Silver and Black. Amazing how he peaked in his mid-30s. He had come along in this era, he may not have had the opportunity and we may have never heard of him.
Rich Gannon as Las Vegas raiders offensive coordinator
Wow! Great vibe I agree. RN4L 🏴☠️
HELL YES
Make him our QB coach
QB coach yes but coordinator? No
💯💯💯
Love ya Gannon! Fan since 76 and you were a Great addition to the Raider family! Go Raiders! ☠💀☠
At one point, the raiders were the winningest organization in sports. That’s why the fans EXPECT greatness. I hope we can start winning like the old times so we can condition the next gener-Nation on expecting greatness as well
Amen! We have to dominate in all facets of the game!!💪🏾🏴☠️🏈
I remember seeing it on the screens in Oakland. Can't believe the last 20 years.
Gannon is a True Raider!🏴☠️
Let’s bring him in as a coach !!…AP? Let’s go
Gannon... What could've been... My all time favorite Raider QB.
🏴☠️1️⃣2️⃣🏴☠️
That whole 2002 team was special, coaching staff included, could less about any clown that had “stats”, this man will always be one of the greatest Raiders of all time!
More Al Davis stories please!
He holds the record for most pick sixes in a Super Bowl
Gannon truly played the game between the ears, which is why he got so much out of his limited talent. He did just enough with his legs to keep defenses honest, and he could deliver the ball from any arm-angle. One of the best side-arm passers I've ever seen. I just loved Gannon back in the day. One of my old girlfriends took (stole really) my Gannon jersey and it still bothers me 15, 16 years later 😠
Still have his white authentic jersey
I remember when he played for the vikings, dude was fast back then and would take off in a minute if he saw an opening
*🏴☠️GANNON FOR COACH!!🏴☠️🛡️⚔️💣☠️*
6:21 you gave us that and more Rich 💯
The last real one we had at the QB position. We need another Rich Gannon to captain the ship.
Rich we stuck with you through thick and thin. That SB loss was just one we couldn't avoid. You went up against the man who made the offense you ran. It was unfortunate but I don't blame you or Callahan. Gruden had our number.
Love rich….RN4L
The last Elite Franchise Quarterback we had We need another leader and skilled player like Rich but we need to draft him to our organization and stop looking for bandages at the most important position in Professional
Really enjoyed this, Gannon was good with the Raiders! RN4L 🔥 ☠️ 🏈 🤬 🔥
Last good QB we have had, everyone since has been an absolute embarrassment.
Go Blue Hens!
Good qb, however all those Int's in the Sb still makes me angry (I'll be nice with the language).
If we could have another QB as talented as him, we’d make a Superbowl again. But we don’t. We fuckin suck..
🗣RAAAAAIDDDERRRS☠️🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🩶🖤
What if he wouldn’t have got hurt 🤔
Aidan O Connell does not deserve this guy’s number..
Rich Gannon is so underrated
He could help this team if they listen to him and ask for his help and input. He and Kurt Warner are two of many QBs that maximized their talents and weapons to the ultimate. Unfortunately for Gannon he got hoodwinked and had his worst game in the Superbowl.
No he isn't lol
@@Caspet78 yes he was underrated.
Not by us
I would take Gannon all day!!! He made lemonade from lemons
Watching Gannon and Gruden finally put the Raiders back on the right track back then was exciting to watch. Pump fakes and the side arm throws.
Facts it was a thing or beauty
He was the most talented QB as long as I been watchin the Raiders.
That pump fake so lethal! No one to this day I see use as much as he did !
I concur
Gannon didn't take no shite, like the youngins say he stood on business. A Raider legend.
Shame they lost the SB. To Gruden of all ppl. 😠 😡
they got screwed . he knew all their plays . he knew everything . almost seemed rigged . also it’s funny gruden is working for the queefs now
You can thank AL Davis for that one.
I knew something was wrong the moment I saw them take the field..it was like someone died...and it's a testament to Gannon and those professionals that they even got back in the game with 6 minutes left...they did at least get them on the ropes once..
@@rustyt115I'm glad al is gone now.
@@jonathanramos8414 Agreed, but the damage he left behind is still plaguing the team. And by that I mean Mark. AL refused and Mark still can’t adapt.
I love hearing the Al Davis stories.
Best qb of my lifetime I was too young to appreciate pre 80s. Will we ever have another Rich Gannon type qb again?
Why isn't Rich Gannon our QB coach or offensive coordinator???
It always cheers me up to listen to Rich Gannon talk football, I still have his Jersey that I use to wear when I was in High School
Go Raiders!!!!!!!!!
You didn't need to buy the ticket back then.
Gannon was my QB 1999-2004
Last good quarterback we've had
Best raider qb I've ever seen in Sliver and Black in my lifetime! Had all the intangibles. Best QB they've ever had in my opinion. I became a Raider because of his era
All-Time favorite Raider growing up. 🖤🤍
he completely turned the team around...it was a 180
Sheeeesh, Gannon used to throw some dimes with the Raiders!
Love Gannon
Gannon/ Gruden was a great team
I remember watching Rich play against the Raiders when he was backing up Steve Bono in Kansas City. GANNON 12🏴🏴🏴🏴
Other then Peyton Manning, Rich Gannon is my fav QB ever. Such a cool dude, great player. Made me love the Raiders till this day
I remember being underwhelmed -- borderline pissed -- when we first signed Gannon. I spoke against him at the time. Boy, did he make me eat my words!
He made me a raider fan. Its when I was sold🎉🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️💖
Gannon was the Raiders quarterback when I became a fan.
Rich is always a Raider. Thanks for having him on.
Gannon is a goat should have got a ring when he was playing.
You are the reason we won AFC west titles, championship games and for us to go to the superbowl..you are always going to be my hero for what you did for my team.thanks rich
Rich embodies what it means to be a Raider. RN4L
Carr has more team record… BUT HE HAD TWICE THE TIME TO REACH THEM! Rich should hold all those record, unfortunately he wasn’t her long enough!
Love Rich Gannon!! True Raider!!
I loved rich gannon he was the best
Thanks for being a raider
Rich Gannon #12 Legend!!
They should of kept del Rio.
I wish we won that super bowl
He should be part of the coaching staff to help our QBs
A true Raider Mr Ganon.
Hey Rich i bet you wish you could take back some of those things you said about Carr now?!!
Maybe it's time to coach..
Al believed you would of been worthy.
I was about to be 13 when this man came to the RAIDERS and ever since he left they've been sorry, that's sad. Best RAIDER QB I've ever seen, miss the good old day's when teams took the RAIDERS seriously.
Just like DC4 was the best QB for The Raiders at his time. The Raiders haven't had a QB since
Rich wasn't the best QB , but ,he was The best QB for The Raiders at that time.
You're definitely right there with stable and plunkett I was really hoping O'Connell would be like you
Damn Rich Great Interview never have seen this type of conversation was Great sounding language like a true baller and what I like most is that your were and still a Raider
Gannon was the man and always loved how firery 🔥🔥🔥 he was still believe he will make a great coach
I feel rich, basketball my fav sport don’t have a team just like the game/players.
Rich Gannon as the Raiders QB was the best we'll ever have. Even over the 60s-80s qbs, he faced modern defenses and was able to dictate the game and give a 40 year old Jerry Rice a 1K season FFS
True Raider. 🏴☠️ salute Gannon
Rich Gannon man you're a badass dude

Great interview!
Saw him play at U of DE when I was young. Loved he made it to Raiders and had so much success. RN4L RG12
The RAIDERS last playoff victory, 2002 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RAIDERS 41 TITANS 24.
RICH GANNON 2002 NFL MVP.
Sibley is fantastic doing the best Job for Raiders Fans talking to former players & the Nation! RN4L 🔥 ☠️ 🏈 🤬 🔥
