- The Palax 55 circular saw / log splitter is available as a PTO tractor driven or as a self-contained unit with a 5.5 HP Honda gas engine. The unit is equipped with a silent and smoothly cutting hard-metal blade. The resulting cut surface is smooth and the hard-metal blade is exceptionally durable. Cut up to 8" diameter logs.
The grooved support rollers and the extension table with rollers makes the work easy and safe. Pile the cut-off logs into the metal chute before splitting the logs. The slide for log splitting is extremely easy to handle and safe in operation. The double thread on the splitting screw / cone bites into even an icy log. The splitting screw / cone has a replaceable tip.
The Palax 55 is easy to handle and transport to the desired site. The PTO driven unit is equipped with a 3-point hitch and the gas engine unit is equipped with solid rubber tyres for easy moving.
The gas engine unit is equipped with a clutch to enable loosening of the v-belts for start-up. This makes it easy to start the machine even in cold temperatures.

i think alot of you are missing the point...its designed for processing small diameter cord for homeowners ...and its a cheap machine....still processes up to 8 inch logs...if you have bigger wood get a bigger palax processor...try the 90sg he-man!!!! palax make great reliable machines in my experience

Nice for cutting/bagging campfire wood but what if you want split wood for heating a house. I use what he is getting for kindling wood.

скорее всего это дрова пакуются в такие мешки для камина или барбекю, а не для отопления

пипец - они ещё до сих пор дома дровами топят... на дворе 21 век друзья! Вместо того что бы оптимизировать как колоть дрова - не проще ли сделать центральное отопление...

about half of these firewood processer videos shows guys splitting wood that does NOT need splitting, hell I use tie ends 7" by" 9" blocks up to 20" long the bigger the better in opinion, I use slabs for the little stuff to get the tie ends burning good, get the slabs for 40 bucks a dump truck and the tie ends for 75 bucks a dump truck load, I cannot see spending thousands of dollars on a gadget that a good chainsaw and splitting maul will do for a very small fraction of the price, and when I cant do it myself then just buy the wood cut by a much younger man
In my opinion a saw like that is desperately unsafe. I wouldn't touch one. Their bigger fully enclosed processors are far superior
