You can Play in LAN mode only if 2 computers connect to same network

What is the countdown timer for?

In the original mission on Commandos 3, instead of a timer there was a number of Russian Soldiers left alive, and you had to kill the sniper before all the Russian soldiers died. I guess that the modder couldn't recreate that in Commandos 2 so they just put a timer there instead to simulate the same sort of thing
