This is the most amazing dice tower I’ve seen. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the design is truly astounding. It is a work of art. Well done!
Absolutely amazing sculpting work on this. The bricks look amazing and the cobblestone pattern you did for the balcony is perfect. Great job on the painting as well.
Truly remarkable! I'm astonished at the result and how well you produced the magnificent effects! Thank you for what you do! I learned from, and am inspired by your talent.
Amazing looking tower. The only thing I think you should done different is the hole in the roof. I think you should have made a hole straight through, so you could drop in the dice without having to lift off the roof.
Your tower would look incredible with a small backdrop (my first thought was Starry night style), a bit of stones at the bottom or some moss would add another layer of age. Anyways your tower and process was easy to follow and interesting, thanks for the video! (Edited for a comma lol)
Thanks for the tips! I’ve been struggling with photographing my projects. It is a whole different skill that I have yet to master. Your ideas for a backdrop and foreground are great, thanks!
@@Coltonb91 I bought it from my local game store out of a big box with random dice in it.. I have no idea if it is from a specific brand or anything. Sorry!
Excellent build. I have just been commissioned to build one of these things but I work mainly in leather so it will be totally different. I hope it turns out as impressive as yours! Just out of interest what's the music behind the video? It sounds very interesting.
Thank you! Really curious to see what a dice tower in leather might look like! The music in the video is Fresno Alley, by Josh Lippi. ua-cam.com/video/mURyI8k2UKM/v-deo.html It is in the UA-cam Audio Library.
Thanks! I mostly go to local game stores, art supply stores and stuff like that, but here are some of the materials I use: Green Stuff, Apoxie Sculpt, Sculpey Firm, Milliput and Procreate. Each clay has its own benefits, but I prefer Green Stuff and Sculpey.
Haha I thought my accent made it clear I’m not American 😅 We don’t have Walmart here, and I avoid buying from Amazon. Luckily I found it in a local store a while back! 👍
The only problem is is you have to take the top of the castle off to drop the dice down which ruins the effect because you get to see all the cardboard paper tubes toilet paper roll whatever you wanna call it so you should’ve made some type of upper door for the dice to go into and then roll down this way you don’t have to dismantle the castle to use it other than that it looks good
I did think about doing something like that, but I figured the door would have to be really big for the dice to fit through. I didn’t want it to be too obvious that it was a dice tower, so that is why I ended up making it like I did.
I didn’t really keep track of time while building this, but if I had to guess I would say 30-40 hours. I had 20 hrs of video, and I didn’t film everything
Nice. The cracking that started on the lower section just adds a little extra decay, accidental perfection. About how long did you invest into creating and painting?
Thanks! the crack does work with the overall broken down look. I think I spent about 30-40 hours on sculpting and painting combined. I am not sure though, I didn't keep track of time..
How about some LED's that look like torches or lanterns in the windows? Have them light up with a hidden switch or pressure sensitive switches inside so the tumbling dice light them up?...maybe that's going a bit too far. After all, we gather to game, not to watch some player's latest modification/addition/creation/fancy new shiny thing. Then again, maybe some of us show up to flaunt our latest, most expensive "I'm the only person east of the western mountains with THIS! The company hasn't released these yet... I know a guy on the inside, slipped him a $100 and now it's all mine (until the official product release date that is)." What about a cauldron at the top? You know, for boiling oil to repel invaders? Instead of scalding oil, your dice! Tip the pot and out goes a d20 down the tumbler chute. What about a hungry dragon/monster? Have it sitting on a nest. You feed the creature your dice, wait for the dice to settle, pick it up and there you have your dice...eggs in it's nest.
I got a problem with your videos. I watch them while I have breakfast or dinner and they always draw my full attention and I keep forgetting my food so it gets cold. Maybe I got a problem with my dining schedule.
People keep using these words "proof of concept," and they are not using them right. What you built was a prototype, or a proof of design, a proof of concept is to take an untested theory and create something that proves this theory is viable. A proof of concept often branches out and becomes something much larger than what it started as. A PROTOTYPE is just a prebuild of your design to make sure everything is kosher before you finalize it.
this is a level of artistry and craftsmanship i dream of getting to someday, holy crap this is beautiful

Thanks for the compliments! I’m really glad you appreciate it so much
Super cool, love the way the water turned out.
Thank you! I am very happy with how the water turned out too!
Did not expect those materials to look that good... well ive learned something today GJ man.
Thank you!
Absolutely amazing sculpting work on this. The bricks look amazing and the cobblestone pattern you did for the balcony is perfect. Great job on the painting as well.
Thank you so much! I’m actually thinking of making another one, to see how much my sculpting improved since I made this one
I am really impressed by it all, but my favourite part of this craft was your choice of colour scheme. It's really evocative!
Thank you so much! I really wanted to do something special with the paint job. I’m glad you like it!
That 90s Casio watch :D

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment!
Wow! Best dice tower I have ever seen. Perfect job. Would like to see more.
Thank you so much! I’ve got another dice tower video in the pipeline, I hope you will like it too!
@@atelier_AG Oh I'm sure I'll love it. You are very blessed.
This came out great! The waves and the light cast by the windows made it 11 out of 10.
And I've felt the pain of sculpting each stone/brick
Thank you! I am super happy with how the lighting turned out. The bricks were a ton of work, but with some good tunes or a podcast I could zone out.
Very impressive. When I first clicked on the video, I thought for sure you had used LED lights inside the tower.
Haha, that is probably the best compliment I could have!
Excellent work! Thanks so much for this.
Thank you! My pleasure 😊
Fantastic work mate! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks! 😁
Amazing looking tower.

Thanks! I can see you point about having to remove the roof, but I kind of like it! It makes for a great surprise when I show it to people.
ok wtf? you are an artist bro
Haha thank you! 😅
This looks absolutely amazing! I want to build my own now, hopefully i will have time for that soon. Thank you a lot for sharing this tutorial!
Thank you! I would love to see it when you finish yours!
great sculpt with a beautiful ambiance!
Thank you! I was really trying to create a moody ambiance, and I’m glad it registers!
So much detail and all of it incredible. Will inspire many. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! I hope it does inspire people, that would be amazing
This dice tower is astonishing and baeutiful. Nice job man!
Thank you so much! 😄
Well designed and executed. I like your paint work. A very nice centre piece for any gaming table. Good work!
Thank you so much for the compliments!
That is a work of art.
Thank you!
Wow the details were great!!
Thanks!
I cannot express how insanely awesome this looks!! I really want to make one now!
Do it! I would love to see what you come up with! :)
This is so cool! I love watching the details form. Thank you for sharing your artistry!
Thank you very much! 😊
So beautiful. The window glow effect turned out perfectly!
Thank you! 😊
Wow! A pleasure to watch thanks!
Yeah! Glad you liked it!
Truly incredible
Thank you very much!
Probably the most original dice tower with 2 entrances
Thank you so much!
Simply gorgeous my friend!
Thank you!
Mod podge is definitely worth ordering online if you can. It's such a good product
I actually just found a shop that stocks Mod Podge, I just haven't done a project that I need it for. I sure would like to try it though!
@@atelier_AG that's awesome! It's very versatile and comes in different forms, like glossy or matte. I can't wait for you to try it out :) have fun!
@@TechnoDewdrop I am very curious in how it differs from other PVA glues, like wood glue. Thanks!
Mi admiración, excelente
Very good work man ! You can make castle with 2 or more towers . 🍾🍻
I love these kinds of videos, they're very interesting and I learn a lot.
That is great to hear! As much as I love sharing my work, I also want to teach and inspire others.

Thank you so much! You are great too :)
Fantastic work the details are amazing for such a small scale keep up the good work !

What is that d20!! Reminds me of a jawbreaker 😂 amazing tower as well 🧙♂️
That was exactly what I thought when I bought this d20 😅 Thanks!

Yes! I think I posted a WIP over there :) thanks!
Looks great - how sturdy is it?
Thanks! It is sturdy enough for me to pick it up by the tower part, and the base is quite heavy.
Sooo cool!!
Thank you!
Mooi werk!
Bedankt! 😄
A hair dryer will also chase the bubbles away
That is a great idea, I’ll try that next time!
Nederlander? Of Belg? Ik gok NL want ik ben B 😋 Very cool project! Seems pretty big for a TP-rol

I have done commissions. just shoot me a message on Instagram, and we can discuss!

I guess you’re right. I studied product design, and we’d use terms like this all the time. Maybe I just mixed them up in my head.
