    Napoleon was defeated many times, and all his victors were because of his army superior number.

      @RuaidhriOSioradain absolutely not ! The French never won a navy battle against the Brits ever ! Yet they outnumbered them heavily (25 to 1 in Abukir and Trafalgar); during his rise to power, most of all his victorious battles were because his high number; although he won few battles with a lower number but he made sure to buy his opponents; Prof Henri Guillemin has a 6 hours lecture on Napoleon where it is explained.

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. While it's true that Ali ibn Abi Talib is highly revered as the "Lion of Allah" and a formidable warrior, Khalid ibn al-Walid's historical impact cannot be ignored. He initially fought against the Muslims during the Battle of Uhud but later became one of Islam's most successful generals after converting. His title, "Sword of Allah," signifies his vital role in expanding the early Islamic empire. A video on Ali ibn Abi Talib is indeed coming soon, and we hope you'll find it as enlightening.

    Khaled Ibn al Waleed reflected on Islam because he admired the prophet muhammad pbuhs military tactics he would always talk about it. He even made it clear that the prophet muhammad pbuh could never be defeated. Please if you're going to use ai voices use the correct info. The only battle lost was on uhud as the soldiers disobeyed and that was done by Allah in order to teach them a lesson to never disobey the prophet muhammad pbuh. .

    Better than Napoleon? Walid did not introduce free education, free hospitals, pensions, a rational code of law, modernise the way roads, canals, and rivers were used to supply fresh water, and speed up trade and deliveries. He protected road travellers from the weather by planting trees along every important road. He instructed over the message system that reduced information transfer from 2/3 weeks to just hours, from the Med coast to Paris, and on to Le Manche.
    Napoleon supported science and education. He increased, and changed farming practises that enabled the French to eat properly, and increase their population regardless of the constant wars started by the monarchists of England, and the other parts of Europe.
    Match that record WALID.

      The Battle of Mu’tah was a key moment for Khalid ibn al-Walid. It took place in 629 CE, where despite being outnumbered, Khalid led the Muslim forces to a strategic retreat after the commanders were martyred. His leadership in this battle earned him the title “Sword of Allah.” I’ll cover this in more detail in a future video-stay tuned!

      Hey, I appreciate your comment. Khalid ibn al-Walid is indeed a complex figure, but it’s important to note that his actions were part of the early spread of Islam, not modern-day colonization. He’s known more for his military genius and loyalty to his faith. History can be viewed from different angles, and I think it’s important to understand the context of the times. Thanks for engaging, and if you’re interested in learning more about these historical figures, feel free to subscribe!

    he fought about 40 battles not 100, you also didnt mention that the the byzantines and sassanid were engaged in a 20 year long war before he invaded which meant he was using veteran warriors against fresh conscripts. great general but not some mike tyson of islam.

    • @TimelessTales_i
      @TimelessTales_i  Місяць тому +8

      Thank you for your comment. Khalid ibn al-Walid indeed fought around 40 MAJOR battles but there have been reports of him being in other battles aswell which sums it up to around 100 battles and remained undefeated, which is remarkable. While it’s true the Byzantines and Sassanids were war-weary, Khalid’s strategic brilliance, such as his tactics at the Battles of Walaja and Yarmouk, still stands out as his army was heavily outnumbered. His legacy isn’t just about the number of battles but his unmatched military prowess and impact.

      @@TimelessTales_ithank you for being civil, he is 100% a great general but there's no doubt about it he had a massive advantage when talking about armies.
      At yarmouk many later Arab sources overplayed the size of the Byzantine army, it's unlikely they could even muster the commonly mentioned 40,000 given that the Byzantine empire was so shattered from the Persian invasions and had only recently recovered Egypt and the levant/Syria.
      He also had a colossal advantage in troop quality, the various wars waged in Arabia prior to the invasions of the Byzantines and Sassanids gave him veteran warriors.
      On the other hand the 20 year long war between the Byzantines and Persians had damaged the empire to an extent that they were barely hanging on, leaving little money and trained/experienced units to fight off the Arab attacks.

      Thank you for the thoughtful discussion. You’re absolutely right that Khalid ibn al-Walid was a great general. The Byzantine Empire was indeed weakened by prolonged wars, and the Arab forces, having been battle-hardened through various conflicts, had a quality advantage. The true size of the Byzantine army at Yarmouk is debatable, and it's true that many sources likely exaggerated it. These factors certainly contributed to the dynamics of the battles Khalid fought in.
