A mate and myself were using round skimboards cut from ply in early 90s skimboarding orewa beach during lunch time. Even better was a board made of perspex sheet , with this you could slide down the road! The best surface was the pebble footpaths used at orewa college. Ridiculously slippery.
There's an idea a board made for road and footpaths... Ouch.

Do you use expanded polystyrene foam for the core? And how much layers of fiberglass typically goes into a skimboards top and bottom? Thanks
