Carbon vs E-glass Skimboards - What's the difference?

One of the most common questions i get asked is what's the difference between carbon fibre and a normal e-glass skimboard? Both are great lay ups for skimboards but there are a few differences.

Does this effect the float a lot?

A stiffer board will plane better therefore increasing float in that sense. But in terms of stationary float no.
