Welcome to life here on one of the Southern Japanese islands where even though it's feeling more Wintery,temperatures rarely drop below 10 degrees celsius during December.
It's just the cold Winter North winds that make it feel worse!
Before we moved here,we lived on the main island of Okinawa for a number of years where Winter is really very mild!
We enjoyed homemande Butaman,Steamed Pork Buns for lunch and although we don't go out at night much in the remote countryside,we decided to visit a light up event which was taking place in the South of the island.
Fast forward to another evening and after receiving a large Hakusai Chinese cabbage from one of our friendly neighbours in the rural village,we decided to make a delicious dinner of Kimchi Nabe!
