Life saviour! After 12 years of wearing gel nail polish I have developed an allergy to it. After 6 months of no polish I bought the Sistico system and that worked well for 6 months then the allergy emerged. I am going to try this now so my powders aren't wasted.
I am pretty sure I have developed an allergy as well, my fingertips started peeling and hardening and the nails were weak and kept flaking, Either that or a burn from the UV lamp. brokenhearted because I spent so much money on the powder and love them. Happy to be able to try to use them now and then without the lamp. Wondering if you just remove all this with acetone or if you need something stronger. I have a feeling their remover was part of the problem.
Thank you _ Thank you _ Thank you for posting your two videos on using the Sistaco nail powders without the lamp. I have had the Sistaco system for about 2 years. Whereas I love the mineral powders and how long the set would last with great shine, I HATE how hard it is to remove gel nails. I tried everything to remove from soaking in acetone, steaming with acetone, light filing and light drilling to get it off. I has been very frustrating and very time consuming to remove. The last time I used the Sistaco system I soaked my nails for a long time and still had to scrape it off some of my nails. The nails I had to scrape became damaged. I told myself I was not going to use the system again, but I still wanted to use their mineral powders. Voila ... I stumbled upon your videos. I just ordered the O.P.I. and Nails Inc products you used. I'm excited to do my nails again.
Thank you! Really interesting hearing your experiences. I too don't like using nail Products that will lead to damaging my nails. I hope you enjoy the alternative method 😊
Thank you ... thank you ... thank you again for posting this video and the previous one regarding using Sistaco powders without the lamp! As I mentioned in a previous comment I actually have the entire Sistaco system (for just over 2 years). Whereas I love the nail powders I actually could not stand the removal process. NO technique would easily remove the gel from my nails. I tried the technique where you mention using 5 products (including the Sistaco nail powder). OMG ... the polish lasted for 13 days. I may have gotten a few more days wear, but the tips on a few fingers were showing wear. Plus my nails grew out some, so the cuticle area was bare. Removing the color was so easy and only took about 3 minutes with acetone nail polish remover. I'm happy I can continue to use my Sistaco powders without stressing about the removal.
Wow! Is everything easy to remove just by using standard nail polish remover? You've inspired me to get my Sistaco back out and use your method. I did not like removal at all, so I sadly put it away until I can figure out another routine. Anxious to hear back, your color choices were lovely!
Was very interested to see this! My daughter just bought their system, I’m not all about the way removing it looks with their system, but I think I’ll give hers a try with the opi to see! Thank you and beautiful nails!!! I’m jealous! Lol
This video has been very helpful to me, I'll try it with my Sistaco system. I'm wondering whether it would be possible to apply the holographic powders by buffing them onto the nail as per Sistaco's instructions because I find that it gives them a nice holographic finish as opposed to a glitter finish? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the alternate ways, but at the same time can you pls answer some of the questions as well. As for how to remove the nail polish, does it work with good nail polish remover acetone?
Beautiful. Looks like a great alternative without the holographic effect. Does nail polish cause the yellowing of your nails? Only asking because I rarely polish my nails and I’ve not seen that before. They look wonderful.
Thank you very much! The Sistaco nail powders didn't discolour my nails at all, but I do always use OPI's Nail Envy Base Coat. I only ever notice a slight discolouration when I have worn several weeks of dark shades, one after the other, but it's only very minimal.
How do you remove is it the same as when you use their products? I find the product really difficult to remove using their base, colour and top coat! Are rge products you use difficult to remove? Thanks in advance
@ wow that’s awesome - I have the kit but am loath to use it as it’s so hard to get off - many thanks for getting back to me wishing you a very Merry Christmas from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you 😊 It lasted on my nails for the 10 days, but only by also using the Nails Inc 45 Sec Top Coat as well as the final topper. With just the OPI products it started to chip after 3 days.
@@lindameyer9849 Hi, I applied the primer/1 base coat to all my fingernails on one hand and then applied the Sistaco powder to each of the nails. So the base coat was still tacky. 😊
No, Sistaco's base and top coat are gel products, and if you don't cure gel products with a lamp, they simply remain wet and you can't get them to harden. Putting the powder on doesn't do anything to dry them--it's not like dip powder where you put on a layer of an activator liquid and they harden chemically without light. You would just have a goopy sticky mess on your fingertips.

@@kmacc974 I just used a normal brand nail polish remover. 👍🏻

Thank you for these tips! How long between coats do you let it dry before proceeding to the next coat?
😊 I just tend to do all my nails on both hands and then start round again from the beginning, with the next coat. I only leave them 1-2 mins.
Does the powder feel gritty at all on the mail or is it feel just as smooth as nail polish?
As long as you put a top coat on as well it feels smooth 👌

@@jillyv when I've used the OPI Infinite Shine products with their powders, I just use normal nail varnish remover and a cotton pad. Thanks

Hello, does anyone know if there is a wait time before using the powder or is it applied on top of wet base coat? TIA

I am curious, has anyone tried using the Sistaco base & top coat without curing & using Nail Inc 45 top coat. Wonder if that would work?

Why couldn’t you just dunk the nail in the Sistico like sns
