In discussing "fame prior to Hamilton", this is a fair statement. In The Heights was moderately successful, but it did not get much mainstream attention, and Miranda was not well-known outside of Broadway circles. Before Hamilton Groff was already a B-list actor, known for both Frozen and Glee (plus several movie roles and a stint on One Life To Live)

Reneh Nanda they filmed the original broadway cast live on stage. That is the version that will eventually be released, as stage shows translate far better to the screen if they are filmed live on stage rather than changed to a movie.

I fist listened to Hamilton a little more than a year ago and since then my life has changed for the better. I don't care where the fandom is going or whether I'll eventually move on, this musical will always have a special place in my heart and I wish the best to the people involved who have made me love this masterpiece

I'm so happy for every single one of these actors. Hamilton has opened so many doors for them and now we get to witness and experience just how incredibly talented they truly are. Also, love the fact that Lin (Hamilton) and Leslie (Burr) are once again toe to toe, taking the first and second places on the list, respectively. The friendliest competition ever.

Just saw Hamilton in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Wonderful...Best ever... I was able to buy tickets early in the year as soon as they went on sale. Got the Disabled rate for those of us with difference-in-abilities. Glad they had they had a lower rate for Seniors/Disabilities, otherwise I could not have afforded that $299 tics. Out of my prices range...

Not only did Hamilton rejuvenate American musical theater, it brought to the forefront a new generation of Broadway-trained actors who hopefully will be cast in upcoming TV series and movies--they are all brilliant.
As to LMM, the last time a guy wrote the book, lyrics and music, in addition to starring in an award-winning smash Broadward production, was George M. Cohan IIRC. LMM's talent apparently has no limits.
