I Love your videos of the I.O.W. I was born on the Island in 1955 lived in Shanklin and Ventnor went to school in Ventnor miss life there very much for most of my life. Parents bought me and three siblings to NZ in 1963. I.O.W will always be in my heart. Last house in Ventnor was up above Wheelers Bay and used to wander all around there, while my parents ran a guest house on top of the cliff. The house itself had a huge look-out at the top which ran right round the top story and one could watch the boat race that was held from Cows. Sad to see so much of the Island falling into the sea and so many buildings left to rot. My lovely little Island.
The scones from the Kitchen at London House are superb if you're ever feeling the need for a cream tea! Well, everything there is excellent, but we always get scones at least once when we're over :)
Watching you vids have left me feeling nostalgic for ventnor especially Steephill Cove where i used to walk regularly. Ventnor, was my home around 7 years ago. I'm thinkng of returning to the iow. But, not sure about Ventnor or Bonchurch sadly, it doesnt seem very stable! Keep up the good work.
Remember the saying '"normal for ventnor". accompanied with 🙄 Anyway I'm coming over to look at a few houses soon in Niton and St Lawrence 😮 Wish me luck
Ps, do you ever catch sight of the White Tailed Eagles?. We have a pair here (South Downs) who got together and produced one youngster- he's around 6 months old, left home already. I know they originally came from the iow..
