Didn't see anyone mention it in video, but you don't need to attack first to get into your back hop. While you are rolling, you can press circle to immediately backhop once roll finishes, then start perfect rush or unga bunga. Alternatively, you can briefly press block, then back + circle to backhop as well, which is faster than attacking then backhop.
Also, triangle + circle attack strength is dependent on number of attacks before it. So triangle x3 then triangle + circle is a good fast damage combo for brief openings.

Sns is my main weapons from world to rise and will be so in wild, glad to see you using it.
You will never die. I made a separate character a while ago and I still have yet to cart once at MR 150
One thing I'd love to mention is that you can shortcut to your rush with a slinger burst (while aiming your slinger with the sns drawn you can swap from normal shot to burst)
Its a great way to flinch the monster straight into PR, and land the first 3 hits.
Iceborne gave the SnS a Shotgun and transformed the weapon into the SnSnS. I love it.

Tip for SnS(sorry if you already knew) the back hop has a huge number of s, it’s second only to the foresight slash. You can backhop from sheathed almost instantly by pressing R2(block) and immediately hitting down+circle. Happy hunting bro

When it comes to support, the SNS is second to none imo. Mushroomancer and wide-range, with health augment is super OP.

Also, Clutch Claw Uppercut(shoryuken) has armour frames, basically like wearing the rocksteady mantle or a GS tackle. From when you leave the ground to the top of your jump, you have armour frames. Useful for situationally rolling through an attack for the insta tenderise, which with a health augment should heal most or all of the chip damage you took during the uppercut

FINALLY a video I can comment on again, I was useless for help with the Bow lol. SnS is one of my favorite weapons!
I won't go in any great detail trying to correct anything because I know the series and you learn quickly.
Slugger isn't needed bro. Don't use it. SnS is FAST and extremely mobile. Use evade extender and evade window as your bread and butter. Dodge everything. Even the back hop has good I frames. Use the back hop similar to the GS shoulder charge.
Your bread and butter for raw Fatalis SnS is a mix of dive bomb smashes (either shield for KO, or sword for mounting) and Perfect Rush. You'll learn how to redirect your Perfect Rush with slinger bursts. Perfect Rush with the right build does damn near Great Sword levels of damage. I'm not even joking. Perfect Rush does HEAPS of damage. And no, you don't need a topple to pull it off. It's more positioning and timing.
With a Raw build, you'll basically be spamming Perfect Rush. Elemental damage is where you can use the infinite combo attacks.
The SnS is a hit and run weapon. Think of Mohammed Ali, Float like a Butterfly and Sting like a Bee. You're in and out of the fight at anytime you want to be. Death by a thousand cuts.
When you're ready bro, drop the Fatty gear for Velky... Frostcraft Raw SnS is some of the most amazing damage in the game. A Frostcraft Perfect Rush will SHRED monsters. It's unbelievably powerful.

@@DearGamerTV That's how I've been playing it and found a lot of success that way. Being that you're so mobile I just naturally leaned for the hit and run tactics. The pocket playstyle is good for elemental though.

Triangle-Triangle-Circle 3x-Backhop into Perfect Rush or Falling Bash. That’s the bread and butter.

Sword and shield was the hardest for me to fully grasp but probably the most satisfying once I did, and the damage is insaaaane.
Also, your monster knowledge is crazy the way you can dodge some or Nergis attacks with a brand new weapon 😵 killin it as always DG
I'm sure you've already learned how to use the Slinger Burst to initiate Perfect Rush, but I am very much looking forward to watching the video where you realize that Iceborne gave the SnS a Shotgun. 🤣
It's an easy weapon to pick up, but difficult to master. But when you do, you will rip monsters apart with it. Perfect Rush is an insane combo and when you start to get the timing down on it feels so damn satisfying.

Excellent gameplay. I have some tip for using SnS:
-Try using the back-hop to attacks. It is a game changer. (It is even better if you can back-hop from a neutral position)
It will give you more time to execute Perfect Rush.
This is where SnS shines. You can back-hop almost any attack in MHW with a few exceptions.
-Use the SnS attacks combos more often when the opening is too small for a perfect rush; when you see a chance, use back-hop to the attack and go into the perfect rush.
-SnS has a meta combo rotation for Dps, elemental damage and K.O. damage, its worth looking into those rotations.
Sword and shield baby!
SnS is so good and so versatile. Killed all monsters solo with that weapon, even Extreme Behemoth before master rank arrived. Once you master this weapon, you will be invincible
Damn I completed world with the SnS like three times I still couldn't solo Behemoth pre master rank, you're on a whole other level. I should go back to using this weapon.
This is going to sound weird, But it helps me. Perfect Rush has a rhythm to it. There's about a half second between button inputs and your character glows red at the perfect moment. The rhythm is like this...
SLASH. slash,slash,slash. Slash, SLASH.
I know that doesn't make sense, but there's a distinct rhythm for the PERFECT Perfect Rush. You can actually nod your head or tap your foot to the beat. It's hard to explain, but it's there. And once you learn that rhythm it's forever in your brain.

as myself SnS main, maybe some people who used SnS didn't knew what SnS have hidden trick while walk wall and jump down stab as almost like as LS heimbreak do, that's awesome but that will have some wall as can walk wall do that. someone day you try that, SnS almost attack as many weapon do. that why i love SnS mostly and LS 2nd for me

I was long sword main for theajority of world but when i picked up that sword and shield and saw how useful and powerful it could be beyond being the begginner friendly weapon i befan maining it instead

This would be my favourite weapon if the weapons were held in the opposite hands, or the great sword if it was an actual great sword and not just a concrete block on a stick, it’s basically a hammer. So I’m unfortunately left with longsword which wouldn’t be bad if I didn’t have all the samurai, anime special crap. Honestly wish I could just play the whole game as Geralt

Don’t know if you realised, but the SnS clutch claw move is a guaranteed tenderise, so no need to use the shaver jewel.
Edit: I know it was covered in the replies but to avoid confusion, you have to roll whilst the weapon is unsheathed and then do the clutch claw attack. On console it is left trigger.
