Flax retting 2023 - Batch 2 day 1

I stored my 2022 harvest over winter and am retting it now in spring when I have the energy. The last batch that I just took out took 11 days, but it was pretty disgusting looking (and somewhat smelly towards the end), so I've moved the paddling pool away from the house and to a shadier part of the garden, this may mean it takes longer, but at least I won't have to deal with complaints about how gross it is!
