- 1970 Ferrari Dino Competition
This Dino 246GT was sold brand new in January 1971 in Palermo, Sicily.
The following year, the Sicilian racer won the 1977 Targa Florio for the first time overall,
Alfondo Merendino, aka "Apache," became the owner and used it as a training car in Sicily.
Merendino has many important racing records.
This Dino is a "lightweight" version similar to the one once run and can be found in the Dino Compendium book.
1) Roll bar
2) Race spec engine with various modifications
3) Dual exhaust
4) Special shock absorbers
5) Racing setup
6) Many parts removed to lighten bodywork
7) Original seat covered with absorbent material
8) Special safety belts
9) No bumpers
10) Plexiglass side windows
Today, this Dino is so wild, you'll be hooked immediately.
The engine, gearbox, rear axle and body are still original.
As a final piece of information, I leave you with the news that this is of the utmost beauty and importance to me and the technicians at Ferrari Classique.
The original color of this car is the most beautiful for many.
Dino Verde Germoglio (Verde Germoglio).
Only 69 Dino's were painted in this color.

Those were the days....??? I guess so,here in Italy nontheless.Ranging from the early 50es to the earliest years of the 21th century we went through a truly blessed time for all automotive enthusiasts and this was true in all respects.
Don't get me wrong: I'm perfectly aware of the amazing technology being developed in the last decades, still those past 60 years allowed car guys like me "to fully enjoy our passion on daily basis".This happened for a number of motivations and social conditions which progressively went fading away in the last decades. This awesome Dino 246 in racing configuration is perfectly representative of such a different way of "living our life" in its broader meaning.
Needless to remark what a valuable upload this one is....Yet again !
Thank you for sharing your valuable thoughts, it’s great to have a true automotive enthusiast in the community. Thank you for always watching and giving a positive feedback.

Ferrari Dino was way ahead of its time and really stood apart from other sports cars of its caliber. Even after all these years, the design and craftsmanship remain unmatched. This car is a work of true automotive art, and Ferrari has done a fantastic job at creating a tribute for Enzo Ferrari's dearly departed son, Dino.
Thank you so much for watching.

Thanks for watching.
Enzo hated this car with all his life 😂🤣🤣🤣
Did Enzo tell you that personally? Thank you for watching.
After the value skyrocketed, they started calling it Ferrari.
Thank you for watching.
how rare is this color in Dino???
It's white now, but the original color is Dino Verde Germorio. Only 69 of cars were produced in this color.
The main reason this car doesn’t have a Ferrari badge because Ferrari felt this car was not worthy of it. Simple
I'm sick of hearing it. say anything else interesting
@@user-hz3hh6nj5f it’s the truth.
Back in the day, they were so cheap…
Yeah....Tons of regrets for I had some good opportunities to pick up a 246gt in the late 80es
either needing restoration or in decent condition all through.206/246 rocketed to astounding value in around 20 years.Just can say... my fault.
@@INDIGOBLUE555 it would have costed you US35,000 in the 90’s. Now they are well over US300,000.
Thank you so much for watching.
