Fantastic work. I wish manufacturers would make cases big enough that you could leave your camera connected to the scope. I have two scopes with a dedicated camera/computer/powerbox for each scope, I'd prefer not to disassemble my rigs to transport them....
Nice idea! On the other Hand: normally I don’t use the (beautiful) original case, because I try to keep it all mounted. From Back to Front: Cam - Filterdrawer - OAG - 0.8Reducer - Skope with EAF, Dewstrap and ASIair Like that it’s fits perfectly in an IKEA Billy shelf! 😂 Grab’n’Go!!! Only dismounting it, when I use the 1x Flattener instead, or I use my RedCat51. Sure nor interesting for most people out there - but comments let your channel run!! 👍
I'm looking into sourcing some M4 x8mm thumbscrews; I think I can make the EAF be "quick"(er) release by using 2x M4 thumbscrews to attach the bracket to the base of the focuser, and 2x M4 thumbscrews to attach the flex connector to the (coarse) focuser shaft on the focuser - this would allow the EAF to be removed by loosening the flex connector and removing the thumbscrews that attach the bracket to the focuser - I'll report on any progress...
Thank you for posting this, just got my scopes, not able to use it yet. I also got the ZWO EAF and was worried I would have to remove it after each session
That 103 is a beautiful scope and I was going to bet it, but couldn't pass up the sale of the AT115mm. It's a beast of a scope and got the 1x flattener for it too.
I sleep in my car when attending Star Parties! I sleep in my Outback and it is the most comfortable sleep I have while camping. On the subject of the foam, can you show how you cut it so cleanly?

Thank you, that's what I needed to see. Oh, I also have a cat.

Glad this helped!

Nice! Congrats on your new scope! Hope you get some clear sky time!
@@astronotna Thanks and me too! The hurricane spared us in the Gulf so hopefully it will bring clear skies.
Its a great scope. Am getting some great images with my Askar103 please take a look and let me know what you think 👍
Interesting.
As an owner of many cats, they love to destroy couches and pee on all my telescope cases. Pelican style cases FTW! . Great vid!
😆 🤣
